@@ondaride777 if you are referring to the 4l60 that is backed behind the 4.3. Technically yes, you would need to keep the wiring and the computer, the down side is the 4l60 does not hold up to any real horse power. You could try a 700R4 for the extra gear, but even they don't hold up to any real HP.
Hey Bent Oaks. Im thinking about v8 swapping a 1999 s 10. How hard, and about how much are these swaps? In other words is it worth the time and effort? Im thinking 350 sbc with maybe turbo 350. It currently has 2.2 with 5spd manuel. Thanks for any help and info.
It really depends on how extreme you want to go. I used all hight end parts and turned it into more street strip racing. So I have more money in it then needs to be. If you want to do it cheaper, do the gen 3 5.3ls and 4l60e complete with wiring harness and computer. Great base that you can build on with little effort. Use the Current Porformance wiring harness that will allow you to tie into your stock dash. And you be in it very cheap (under 5k) where I have 18 to 20k in mine.
hello I have a friend looking for a wiring harness to hook up a v8 in his 2002 s10. It has a 350 v8 and a 400 turbo transmission. please let me know if you have any info on that. thanks
Unfortunately I ended up ripping out the PCM and went with Holley sniper with 7" digital dash. Ended up doing all my own wiring. Sorry I could not be any help.
nice you can drain oil and coolant from one hole, very convenient!
Yes, I have zero issues draining all the fluids.
Aren’t the small blocks pre emission therefore legally don’t need a cat?
Please tell me the brand/ make of your car hauler! Good luck with your swap
H & H trailer with hydraulic lift. Cost $6500 20 years ago. Also rated at 12000 pounds
Hey, are you using same transmission?
I'm using a TCI th350 with TCI 2500-2800 stall
@@BentOaksGarage Can you potentially use same transmission for sbV8 ?

@@BentOaksGarage they hold up if you don’t overheat them.
