    First lemme say your videos are very informative to the people who haven't done much in the past or are getting started in building. That being said ya come across as condescending Alot of the time, which is purely non intentional, I'm only mentioning this because your videos are very helpful to Alot of folks, I imagine that you do them to help others avoid costly mistakes which is great but sometimes it seems like ya really don't wanna be doing it, this is just my observation.
    You do a far better job than I ever could .... I know I'm an asshole which makes it impossible for me to do anything like your doing so thanks again and again these are only my observations God bless you and your's

    For anyone about to notch their frame on their s10, if your using 302-1 oil pan. You need to notch more than 9 inches go a little over 10.5 inches. Because it's possible to lose distance after welding.

And hope I don't have to cut the frame rail it's been a bitch so far 😂don't what brackets are going to line up with the power steering pump it's a older block with no holes for all the alternator or pumps any suggestions would be appreciated

    I measured it once, and cut it twice. And it was still too short.

      The top part is a speedway motors column. The lower is from a 90's jeep Cherokee or Comanche truck . i beleive it is 3/4 30 spline at box and 1" DD at column.

    DO NOT notch your crossmember. Theres is zero need to.

      Depends on the application. He explains why he needed to. Thats the nature of swapping and fabricating stuff. Sometimes you have to modify things cause they don't make everything bolt in.

    • @SOLDOZER

      @@brendonmanship8854 Cutting the crossmember was the old way because there was no brackets or other options. There is now, so no need to cut.

    • @brendonmanship8854
      @brendonmanship8854 4 роки тому

      @@SOLDOZER i guess that depends on specific application but id rather cut a crossmember than a firewall. And how often even in "the old days" did something like that thag was done right fail? If you put quality metal back you can cut ane notch anything, or heck even build a new crossmember. Its his truck and he explained his choices so whats the problem? And his point was more that the engine isn't center than it was to cut the crossmember.
