Hey guys, I really forgot to mention to build this mob farm over an Ocean biome at the start, if you don't want to light up the surrounding caves near the farm.

A nice thing to do is to put carpet in with 2 blocks in between each block evenly across the inside of the spawner. That will block spiders from spawning because they can clog the spawner.

Just started my survival world and only took me 3 hours to finally have a Fortune 3, Efficiency 5, Unbreaking 3, and a Mending villager and emeralds sources are literally just Fletcher and sticks. only took half an hour to finally fill my chests to the brim, not to mention I'm using Deepslates instead of Cobbies lmaoo

i just built it and its kinda bad i dont know what i did wrong i built it over a beach biome by accident but its still over water and i lit all the surrounding areas
adding a campfire above where the mobs drop is effective and it doesn’t burn any loot, just add hoppers underneath the campfires. Great for auto farms.
@@RJR_SANITY you can use another alternative instead, by using pistons, a piece of carpet, and a trident you can make a auto trident killer. (A little trick with it when you have your trident thrown down, you can hold out a looting 3 sword and get double the drops!)

Honestly it aint hard to get the materials, had two large chests of cobblestone from mining for diamons, the only hard thing or what I invested more time was getting up and down for things and the wood
for people on 1.19.2 build the spawner 2 below what the video says, go to around 70 blocks abover the spawning floor ( wait 5 mins before going back down) and turn render distance to 2 works alot more efficiently this way
@@henryjackson6423 it's better if it's in an ocean biome so more mobs can spawn in the mob farm. If you dobt do it in the ocean you'll have to light up the area around it so the mobs instead will spawn in the mob farm

OK, so I've built this and I have some tips (I learned these the hard way): 1) Build the bottom room at least 50 blocks high above a sea. It's hopeless the try to light up all nearby ground and caves. If you're using some x-ray cheat to find the caves, then you obviously don't even need this farm. 2) 2 of the slabs need to be replaced with either blocks, or stairs, to make sure that the fallen mobs can't see you waiting. This is vital because the creepers will try to explode when they see you. It's possible to kill them before they do, but that means that you'd have to constantly monitor the action. Having a hiding spot allows you to hide there and leave the game running while you're browsing the internet, or something. 3) Sometimes the yield is pretty low and other times they drop every few seconds. This seems to be normal. Or maybe there's some undersea cave that keeps trolling me.
@@Lukas-xk7hq My first attempt was also on a mountain. The mountains have a lot of caves. The game spawns monsters with in 128 blocks of the player and only a limited number at a time. So the caves are using up all the spawn numbers. That's why I made a new one into the sky above a sea.

Dude it's still gonna work. Not as efficient though. I have mine just near my house... I didn't lit up nearby caves, but I lit up all nearby suface area.. still gives huge loot.

You don´t have to light anything up actually, set your render distance to 4 and be next to the farm, it works wonders

The trapdoors will probably fool the ender man AI to walk in, causing them to take damage and eventually dying
for enderman farm it's a bit different, and also you would need to go to the end for the proper spawn rate

for people on 1.19.2 build the spawner 2 below what the video says, go to around 70 blocks abover the spawning floor ( wait 5 mins before going back down) and turn render distance to 2

@@henryjackson6423 it's better if it's in an ocean biome so more mobs can spawn in the mob farm. If you dobt do it in the ocean you'll have to light up the area around it so the mobs instead will spawn in the mob farm

If they have nowhere to teleport they can get wet and start taking damage while swimming kinda like lava to them

OK, so I've built this and I have some tips (I learned these the hard way):
1) Build the bottom room at least 50 blocks high above a sea. It's hopeless the try to light up all nearby ground and caves. If you're using some x-ray cheat to find the caves, then you obviously don't even need this farm.
2) 2 of the slabs need to be replaced with either blocks, or stairs, to make sure that the fallen mobs can't see you waiting. This is vital because the creepers will try to explode when they see you. It's possible to kill them before they do, but that means that you'd have to constantly monitor the action. Having a hiding spot allows you to hide there and leave the game running while you're browsing the internet, or something.
3) Sometimes the yield is pretty low and other times they drop every few seconds. This seems to be normal. Or maybe there's some undersea cave that keeps trolling me.
i did it at 100 blocks height and is working but not that fast maybe i need something to do
i did this farm on a mountain top 3 spawn chambers still not really good drops

@@Lukas-xk7hq My first attempt was also on a mountain. The mountains have a lot of caves. The game spawns monsters with in 128 blocks of the player and only a limited number at a time. So the caves are using up all the spawn numbers. That's why I made a new one into the sky above a sea.
It would have been nice if you told us before the tutorial to build it on a ocean biome

you should make an afk spot like 100 blocks from the lowest block of the farm so that the lowest point mobs can spawn is in the mob grinder
under my spawner i found a mineshaft with 3 spider spawners...

I tried to "Light up the cave" near the spawner. It was double mineshaft that connected to multiple cave. Gave up.

Dude it's still gonna work. Not as efficient though. I have mine just near my house... I didn't lit up nearby caves, but I lit up all nearby suface area.. still gives huge loot.
