Where is the link Dr mentioned at the End of the video that comes with 12 little videos of UTI prevention? Can you share? I didn't see it in the description?

Why are people diagnosed with uti when the urine has no blood or leukocytes? Is the growth of urine culture alone good enough to diagnose uti, such as estereccocus?

My problem is that I have an indwelling catheter and urologists rarely want to treat my infections saying that I’m likely colonized with them even though I’ve had symptoms of infection, I repeatedly have several bacterial infections over 100,000 the last time they gave me a dose of gentamicin but it’s two weeks later and it’s all coming back again

Thanks for sharing your experience. We'd love to do some content specific to catheter use and will aim to in the future. Melissa

@@LiveUTIFree That would be great. At present my infectious disease physician has me on third week of Cefepime 1 gm for a pseudomonas infection that has repeatedly shown up. The catheter type I believe has created a lesion or wound inside my bladder because of the hard silicone tip in the medline catheter, when switched to all silicone Dover brand by Cardinal I believe that was lined with silver inside and outside, it seems so far to improve, but then again have been on iv antibiotics for almost three weeks. My autoimmune diseases make having repeated infections not only bothersome but dangerous to my health and threaten my life and have caused me to end up in a ventilator after my myasthenia gravies worsened and my diagram became too weak, so having physicians not treat infections become life threatening as much as any overuse of an antibiotic will. No good solution,
