I think originality should be a factor in these videos. Using unique/underused weapons and abilities and making them work, even if not overpowered, is far more interesting to me than some meta slave build even if it destroys everything

thats why I told him to use it. But he still needs to be one with a Glaive, bc once you know the strength and weaknesses of a Glaive you start having more Glaive kills than Primary kills lol
Wow who'd have thunk the warlock subclass with a minimum of 3 abilities capable of wiping a fireteam along with the cutting edge in meta weapon choices would be good. I'm shocked by this revelation, let me tell you

To the glaive guys out there. What makes a good pvpv glaive? Perks? How much range/handling or other stats do you need? I have a bunch of trials ones vaulted but don't know what's good.
projectile velocity is tied to range. Impulse amplifier isn't necessary if you have high range stat, which you can get on the Adept Glaive from last week's trials. Reload speed is second most important, then handling/shield duration.
With 1800+ Crucible kills on my enigm. My perks are auxiliary reserves for shield duration, accurized for range, impulse amplifier for projectile speed cause it still helps the shots land better, and unstoppable force for a 20% projectile buff after blocking damage. I have a handling masterwork. You could try a impulse/close to melee on the trials glaive and you want perks that up handling and range first followed by reload.
As a Glaive main and someone who submitted this build to Cross: here is a quick run-down on the perks: S-Tier: Impuls Amplifier and a minimum 70 range stat are enough for a fast projectile (you could get away with 100 range and no IA, but IA is still king) A-Tier: Tilting at windmils and Unstoppable Force But the perks alone do not make a glaive good, its the user. I could easily "out-glaive" someone with a bad rolled glaive even if their glaive has S Tier perks, glaives take alot practice to get the hang out of them. you need to think as a shotgun ape and like a fusion guy. They are special and thats why I love them
Love this series, such a good idea that I am surprised I haven't seen it done before. Also my boy got done dirty, that glaive build was so much more interesting and versatility with threadlings to punish rez attempts and the glaive shield to help get rez's off more often.
I’d say threading bc I use glaives and I thought no one uses them but this proves that glaives are the best to use. And to add glaives now charge passively.
The best time I had in Destiny in ten years was playing as a warlock strand glaive. I felt like a spider and it really got me into the game but it wasnt "meta"
AP got done dirty. From the video I felt like the first card was much more usage of the actual build and the Stasis one was more just Conditional being really strong
Thank you, exactly what I thought. The other build he should have used Stacy more often, but it it was it is. I am just happy I could share the glaive playstyle as too many people think they are a meme. If played correctly they can dictate the battlefield
For Shadebinder, did you not have the fragment that does increased primary damage to frozen targets? Should’ve been able to finish this guys off easily w. a sub.
I’ve tried that stasisbuild a bunch this weekend and for me I’ll throw it right next to someone and it’ll complete avoid them and go straight up a wall meanwhile other people use it and it freezes people everytime they throw it literally makes zero sense
The passive slow of bleak watchers is such a good combo. I don't think it's that great on this map with all the corners. Slaps on stuff like Multiplex with big open lanes
Cross can i suggest a weapon to use for your stasis warlock. Ive never seen anyone use this but me and its busted af. Infact ive never even seen another weapon like this in the wild. Riptide hammer forged or full bore, projection fuse, heating up and sucessful warm up. Mine has charge MW but range or this will do. 460 charge time. When playing stasis warlock closing the distance with conditional can be a ball ache. The fusion nullifys that as it kills at easily 12m+. After first kill the next guy freezes and you have a .288 charge time because of sucessful warm up. Its completely bonkers.
I won't lie. I am a hunter main. However, that not withstanding. I think you can admit you were having more fun with the glaive build than you were with the stasis build. Simply because it was a build that you didn't have faith in working from the beginning, but realized it was a lot better than anticipated.
The Hunter build was way better. The Warlock one used two great weapons, and as you said it did not make much use of the turret. Whereas in the Hunter build you put the actual build to work, not just the feature weapon, but the class kit as well.

I will never know, in what universe of thought, did anybody think that 1, and only 1, class having access that that level of easy cheesy control is okay.
