Yes,and just now watching this years later. Have y’all wondered how he didn’t know she been wearing a wig or been sick ? That part!
Just before Christmas we lost someone on our side of the family. He had a heart condition for years. Yet this last mishap really did a number on him. The hospital sent him home with meds but he knew this was to be his last Christmas.He went shopping a few weeks before to get his kids all their gifts but he passed on in the front seat of his truck . He didn't make it for his last Christmas but his will left instructions that they all get couriered a couple wks before Christmas and they did. The gifts made it. He still made it happen.
No, he and the kids did know she was sick. She took off the wig to show him how life is short and how she didn’t have much time left and she wanted him to forgive him and forgive also her before she died because she knows it’s her fault while their relationship is strained.

She even says to him when he walks in on her and Harper talking "Harper knows" and even one of their kids say to Harper "She's a little better now". I think the wig thing is Lance just realising how weak she feels and looks now and he doesn't have much time left with his wife

He could've chosen not to marry her or at least tried to work on their relationship but he did and he didn't so he made himself suffer. I can totally understand why Lance is pissed at Harper and not Mia. Lance cheated on Mia and hurt her a million times so he can forgive her because he feels he deserved it. Lance cheated on her with a thousand chicks; and in Mia's eyes this one night with Lance was equivalent to the thousand times her heart was shattered by his infidelity. Was it right on either end? Hell no but when you do somebody wrong you have to reap what you sow. They both hurt each other, and lost touch with their closest friends in the process....
What I think people forget is that Mia was Harper’s friend also. He hooked them up knowing she was a virgin and that lance was a lady’s man. He felt like he played a part in breaking Mia’s heart and that’s why he slept with her. He was trying to make her feel better. Even though it was wrong. Forgiveness is everything.

This goes to show you that a man can do things to hurt a woman to the core over and over again and a woman does one thing (not saying it's a small thing) and it can almost destroy him. She chose Harper most definitely because if you're going to hurt someone for hurting you you don't go chose a random person, you choose the person that means the most to him his best friend, his best man. Mia knew what she was doing but Lance was in denial about Harper and Mia thinking it was just Harper. Harper (as cave man as this sounds) was just being a man. Mia had an agenda and even after all of the women Lance slept with Mia only had to sleep with one...
Funny how this all works. All these years Lance had hard feelings against Harper for his actions while in denial about Mia’s part in it. That Mia is making Lance come to grips with it is huge

What I love about this scene is deep down lance knew MiA chose his friend but his love for Mia was so great he couldnt bring himself to accept that she had any culpability in the situation it's only when she says it and tells him she cant rest is when he opens his heart

I always find it interesting that the character Lance (and commenters) truly believes he is not partially to blame. “She cheated on him with his best friend, I wouldn’t have married her, he preyed on her, he was just a college kid...” Sounds like another “boys will be boys” excuse.
Truth be told. She shouldn’t have stayed with him after all his cheating. She should have left. If commenters believe she’s not wife material, then he certainly isn’t husband material. We don’t see any instance of Lance apologizing for hurting her. His character thinks he’s beyond reproach. His temper is frightening (he could have killed Harper), but she still responds gently. Harper didn’t need to prey on her because he already knew her. If he really wanted to be with her, he probably could have. Lance saw a “virgin conquest” and asked his best friend to hook them up ( it’s why I don’t play Cupid; get your own date). I’m not saying that Harper and Mia weren’t wrong, but Lance isn’t without fault.

I remember completely bawling at the movies watching this..... Whole movie is an emotional roller coaster. This year this time was a tough time for me but I learned my own strength after this year and I’m grateful because it made me who I am today.

Remember the cards scene from the first movie, Quentin's point about women being just as scandalous as men are. Well this scene proved it because Mia did make sure she chose to sleep with the man that would hurt Lance the most. I guess Quentin somehow also figured back then that not only did Mia & Harper hook up, but he figured it was Mia who took advantage of Harper! I want to make it clear that I don't believe all women would do this against their man, but this scene proved Quentin's point from that particular scene in the first movie was not an exaggeration though!

This is the most important part of the movie. Betrayal, acceptance, forgiveness, sadness, anger, love….all encapsulated so beautifully, and it also really gives us the REAL as to what happened between the 3 of them. EVERYONE in this movie did such an EXEMPLARY job!

When we think about it, the frustration that Lance was hiding all those years surfaced in this scene. He thought he knew the entire story but, just like the previous 'The Best Man', everything was pointed right at Harper. Mia was right to own up to what she did, yet Lance had the audacity to put it ALL on Harper until she said, "I'm sorry that I chose him (Harper)." Lance cheated plenty of times with women that Mia never knew. When she cheated on Lance one time with his best friend/best man, that's what really caused hell to break loose. I'm just glad Mia managed to try to make things right before she passed. Forgiveness is expensive, but it's worth it.

I was so glad she had finally apologized for her part in that mess. Because I always thought Lance shouldn’t have married her. Because she did it knowing it was going to kill him. The only reason I think they made it was because Lance never focused on Mia being in the wrong. Only Harper. By keeping Harper out their lives it made it easier for him to be happily married to Mia.

So even if he left her, there would have been pain for others she’s close to. She cared about Harper and she cared about harpers love interest (nia long) so her actions could or did result in something far more tragic. Lance almost killed Harper, how would she have felt then? She could have slept with one of Lance’s football teammates, which would have hurt him greatly and even maybe affected his game, but his best friend who was also her friend and her close friends love interest? Forgiving is always right. And that is key to moving on. I let nothing stop me from forgiving. But we should never forget. That people are who they are. You can do what is right to change you but you can't change the way others are. So you forgive and move on.

He didn’t put a gun to her head and make her sleep with him. She wanted it just as much if not more than he did. Was Harper wrong for sleeping with Mia? Yes he was, but at the end of the day Lance only has himself to blame because he was the cause of all of it. You can’t be angry at the effect while ignoring the cause.
Mia also hurted Jordan too because she knew Harper and Jordan we’re soulmates

The best thing someone can do if they've been cheated on is to never do what that person did to them. All it does is make you revengeful a liar and a cheat and makes you no better than the one who cheated first.
