- Out and about in the local environs. One of the sights of South East Wales, the splendid Pontypool Park.
Formerly the back garden of the Hanbury Tennyson family, and now a lovely place to go for a (socially distanced) stroll.
I grew up in Pontypool. I went to St. Albans school in the park. I still have family in Pontypool. The park is beautiful. The people don't know how lucky they are to have it. When ever I get back there, I always go for a walk up to the Grotto and then up to the Folly. I have many fond memories (a few not so fond) of growing up there. Thank you for your video.

This is really cool, my grandfather emigrated from Pontypool. Also gotta love checking Welsh boxes, sheep and a choir.
Maybe we are related! My father's DNA test came back with so many relatives from Pennsylvania and New Jersey that he shows up having those places as a genetic link.
Yeah this wa one of your best of a thousand vids because it documents parents and old times together/family memories.Your Mom's accent is way different like a schoolteacher than your London informal hipster talk.I liked the scenery of the park too and your brief explanations.Mom projects her voice perfectly.THE PLACE LOOKS ALL TOURISTY,MINUS THE ACTUAL VISITORS IN COVID LOCKDOWN.Your joy of the fireworks was a nice story.
Maybe you're supposed to go through that maze on your hand and knees. Have you seen those redwoods you mentioned? Are they big yet?

Oh you're Welsh, I thought you were more Wessexian, when I attempted to work out the location of your accent, but no you come from the land of my fore-people, well not precisely as they're North Wales and sound more Liverpudlian.
I have a very stupid, inexplicable accent. I don't know why it doesn't sound Welsh, it sort of did when I was about 10.

My ideas for you are far from your approach,as far as going back to London i less than 2 weeks.Make lists of your daily TO_DO maybe 5 per day of things that will lead you toward normalcy but also progress.But think of 1 month from now regretting some sights you could have captured at o near pontypool for travel vids/touristy fare.DOCUMENTARY>DOCUMENTARY>DOCUMENTARY....yes life is fleeting,but look back at 1000 vids you made and what are your greatest hits?
