    I initally attempted to fix this using a hose at low pressure instead of syringe (which I couldn't source at any hardware store). This didn't really work and last summer the car leaked horribly. Took it into VW for a look, hoping they'd do the simple things shown in this video. After $300 of 'inspections' I received call saying it would cost $5200 to fix the roof, more than the car is worth. I bought a 200ml syringe off eBay - followed the instructions in the video and voila!! No more leaks. Cost of syringe $12. Thank you very much for providing the guidance.

      Unfortunately most dealerships are shamefully clueless when it comes to the Eos. It's just mindboggling that they quoted a repair cost like that! That should somehow be illegal. When we have issues with our cars the best thing we can do is search the internet first to get an idea of what might be wrong. I'm so glad that you were able to get it fixed and start enjoying it hopefully.

      @@tientrinh943 It's a bit late but I own it too and I adore it already! It's a 4 seasons cabrio car. You can use it as a coupe in winters plus it has a huge sunroof that can open! What's not to like! It's spacious for a cabrio car. Not like a Roadster. You can fit 2 people on the back and trunk is big enough too. It's quiet for a cabrio. It had a good balance between sporty and comfort suspension. It's quality car and very fascinating too since it's quite rare.

    I had a drip from my N/S A pillar. After removing the trim I found the rubber drain hose to be one complete piece. Other videos show it to have a end clip which can leak. Anyway turns out the hose was blocked and water was backing up and leaking at the top.

    • @rob-123
      @rob-123 Рік тому

      @@minuitvampire Can't really remember it's an odd system they designed on the EOS. It's basicly an open system where the water falls down into a gutter and then has a Drain on the A pillar and another on the C (Maybe B as there is no middle) pillar. If any of them are blocked then the water will go inside the car. It sounds silly but the design is to stop condensation inside and works really well if you look after the drains.

    Hi do you know how to fix the roof on my eos that won't work because of the motor in the trunk that I thought wasn't working, but when we checked it it shows signs of life but doesn't want to close the trunk all the way and the car doesn't know that the trunk is closed or open the fuses are fine everything is roughly inspected basic do you know what it could be. In the trunk, the lights also do not recognize whether the trunk is open or not, and now I use the trunk as in the most common golf 5, because the soft closing will not work, and therefore the roof does not know whether the trunk is open or closed

      I'm thinking you could get an empty plastic water bottle. Use a strong knife and start stabbing the centre of the lid to make a whole the size of the synringe opening. Then fill it up in the house with tap water or rain water, hold the bottle straight up until you get to the car then squeeze in into the whole to force water like out of the syringe :)

    You didnt mention the other end of the tube and didnt check it. That goes through the firewall (bulkhead) via a rubber grommet adaptor. These often come out causing the water to run down into the footwells. These need to be checked and fixed as well. Otherwise you may well still have a leak as these leak like the end of a tap dripping or dribbling.
