While the two of them say no, they serve the summoner, as cononically everyone summonable is in Askr and has a contract with the summoner. It would be lazy to just straight up follow the myth, but its entirly possible. Loki and Thorr very easily could be setting up Baldr and/or Alfaðr to fail. We also know that lif is gathering lost villains to serve a new purpose, and that it relates to Alfaðr and Loki, she name-dropped him back in book 3

My guess is that Loki want to take over and wants Baldr out of the way so she can do that. So she manipulated Askr into forming a union with the other 8 realms so they can jointly agree to rescind the pact.
These boss themes make me want to hear them even after you battle the boss for the first time and keep it playing throughout the map after. You know, like how boss themes keep playing in Three Houses and Engage? Heck, maybe even replace the map theme for the boss theme for the final battle of each chapter! The boss themes deserve that kind of treatment!
I can confirm, it is entirely based on the final map of FE1: using the enemy phase theme and Medeus' battle theme; there's even a soundeffect mixed in from the Medeus fight when he transforms. Part of Duma's theme has elements of the enemy phase theme for the final FE1 map, tbc.

Why? We've had bottles, and a mfing bucket that was effective against dragons, yet they're counted as whatever weapon type they function as. Her gun still functions as a bow, so she's a bow unit. If every time there was a slight design deviation we made it a new weapon type that'd be extremely impractical.

book1 and 6: embla first a civil war then a full on war book2 and 3: muspell (which destroyed nifl first) invaded askr and hel invaded askr (the life realm too, killed eir repeatedly and aparantly multiple dimensions of askr too) book4: the dream realm had a demographic peoblem and invaded to solve it. book5: dwarves invaded askr and we killed the prime cause in eitri (she tried to play god) book7: a spiteful god from the realm of light created the golden seer and repeats the problem over and over again (to the point gulveig has gone crazy from doing the same thing) book8: nice healers in the world tree turned into assasians cause one person killed his family and alphonse and askr got rid of the problem. they're sentient zombies but still. if anything alphonse and askr solved more problems than you have where were you asgard?
This is nothing new in FE (hello, Sigurd) or even real world life at all. The summoner is still a being who exists outside of the original creation plans and who can subyugate gods from multiple worlds and has given that power to Askr. They also directly killed the embodiment of death herself which is a huge deal, and were involved on the deaths of many others like Freyr. It isn't hard to see what point Alfador is trying to make, even if it isn't fair.
