That metal piece did get in the way I think I'm just gonna take the whole bumper off more room I tried your way bit got frustrated hard to remove I gave up gonna wait for the weather to get better take bumper off

Hey man I’m thinking of putting fog lights back on my 2000 celica again. Got them taken out 2 years ago. I have the wiring ready under the hood. Is it best to buy oem ones for 50$ and replace the bulbs or buy after market ones? Cheaper way the better.

EBay sells a pair of Celica fog light assembly with bulbs for $35. Buy a pair of led H3 bulb and your set.
I did that to mine. But the cap was so hard to get off, when the fog lights were still on the car. So I took the whole fog lights out and changed the bulbs on my desk. Is there a trick for getting the fog light cap on the back off?
Kraitze I just bent the fog light assembly upwards/outwards in order to let the cap out, probably not the best idea but it worked :p
im 15, and looking at a celica for my first car in the next few months. how do you think insurance would be and as a 16 y/o making minimum wage would there be mods in "reachable" range moneywise? not sure about gas either, i love the car but also not sure how it would do in upstate ny in winter weather.
Jake Taz the car works great in winter weather, I drive mine in RI year round, winters included. Insurance isn't too bad since it's only a 4 cylinder, I was able to pay it and still afford mods when I first got it at 18. It also gets fantastic gas mileage! You should be fine 😎

If you can, try to find a GT-S. I find myself wishing I had a GT-S more often than I thought I would. Other than that, no complaints with the GT besides the oil burn problem that plagues many 00-02 GTs.
make sure to get a 03 to 05 because toyota fixed the burning oil problem
i have to add a quart of oil every 500 miles in my 2002 Celica GT
Logan Williams get a GTS so much more fun to drive I have both a 2000 midnight blue GTS with 125 k miles and a red GT with 150k miles. the GTS is perfect no issues quick and fun AF to drive especially when it hits lift. my GT is way slower feels like a Corolla and burns oil

The 2000 and 2001 are exactly the same and use the same ECU with lift set at 6000 rpm. The 2002 and the years that followed lift was set at 6200 rpm.
Is there a blue fog light?
Moosy Moose you'd have to go with an HID conversion kit and go with like a 10K bulb, halogens are typically only yellow-white

You have mentioned that you owned a automatic Toyota Celica, what would you say are the biggest differences between them? I was reading an interesting thread on www.toyotacelicas.com and it seemed to be a hot topic.
lordtito88 both of mine have been the GT version, so they have similar power, but obviously in the manual you can hold gears for as long as you want. I also feel like the automatic ran at a lower RPM range at highway speeds which was nice. But I definitely prefer how the manual feels. This car belongs with a manual transmission IMO.
