You need 4 inches of water for a pump to work to take in the water into the shoe that hangs on an angle to catch the water flow under the boat hull. Even at 1/8th water the pump shoe is going to dig into the bottom and such rocks and dirt causing a stoppage and boat grounding.
What is not shown is the damage to the jet pump shoe the grates and impellor and impellor ring was wrecked at the end. Crack the impellor shoe hitting a rock you are done when air gets sucked through the crack in the shoe. Chew up the impellor and ring sleeve sucking rocks again you could get stranded.
4 stroke / 25 hp heavy and weak. For 430 best engine 40 hp, 30 minimum. Weight is essential. I recommend you to consider 2 stroke engine. Or boat 470 and engine 50 hp. I using 420 and 30 hp 2 stroke. This is required minimum to don't cry. 😂
We have a couple of these and just ordered a 21’ for hunting. They are AMAMMMMMAZI !!! 1/8” water and it glides right over!!!
