Hi sir roberto, i want to ask some help from you for my academic research study....the respondents of my study will be all the first year college students which my school has 6 departments....i got a total 1096 respondents....i am confused on what sample technique that i will use since there are some departments only has 96 students over all (adding all subdepartments), there is one department that only has 16 first year students too.....what best sampling technique should i use for my study sir?
chems tid Thanks for your question. Purposive sampling is used extensively and effectively in qualitative research, but it does not provide any basis for statistical inference. The problem is that no probability argument can be developed from it. You may want to look into the literature on qualitative research to explore the idea further. If you look to the right of my video, you'll see many suggestions of videos that relate to this issue.
chems tid That depends on what goals one wants to achieve. However, descriptive analysis is all one can get from statistical data collected from a purposive sample.
Food example at the end was awesome.

Hi, thank's mr.Roberto
Which inferential analysis could we apply in case we choose a purposive asmple please ??

Thank's Roberto ...
But excuse me, does the descriptive analysis be enough in this case ?!!
