Nicky, last year alone you had at least 5 matches that were more entertaining than this Como match: vs Lazio (3-1), vs Salernitana (6-1), vs Frosinone (4-0), vs Sassuolo (3-0), vs Lecce (3-0). You obviously haven't been following this team, so you cannot possibily say you don't remember the last time to have watched an entertaining match. I see a lot of journalists push this kind of false narrative about this club, when in reality they are not at all informed. This in turn makes fans believe in this false narrative, only for them to be disappointed after the results don't come as they hope to.

Allegri soccer style was boring and annoying to watch, that's a fact.

@@taenichi176 What was boring about the style? Just because he played a narrow defense? Is Real Madrid boring then? Because Ancellotti plays the same style as Allegri. The only difference is the players. What you percieve as boring football is just players not being capable of executing passages of plays competently. Mostly not through their own fault, but rather the sporting director (Paratici) assembling players of the right level that don't complement each other's skills well during a football match.

False narrative? Amusing...most people who watched Juve play the last couple of years especially did not enjoy the football. Maybe a handful of games in the middle of that period, where we played okay and scored a few goals, it was rare and not at all the norm. So even when those odd games came so deep set was the regular rot that it was hard to enjoy them.
Fresh manager, fresh ideas, fresh coaching and a very different style to what we have seen for a long time. Yes, it felt refreshing and enjoyable from start to finish.
That is not a false narrative. It is logical and one shared by many fans.
To suggest anyone who thinks this way has not been following the matches is childish and silly...If you failed to notice, the club management sacked Allegri. He was almost certain to be sakced regardless. Do you know why? Maybe, just maybe it had much to do with the dire football regularly on show, the lack of development, most the squad performing below expected levels. Just a thought...or maybe I am just repeating another false narrative?

Her point is that Allegri was incapable of adapting to a modern, attacking style and in turn played slow, boring, uncreative, predictable, get-a-goal-and-park-it style football that probably 1% of us fans were able to tolerate. I have been a Juventus fan for 20+ years and a football fan for even longer, and last year was the most desperate I've ever felt as a fan (even more than 2006). To double down on that- seeing Motta and all these young, fresh players, new tactics, exciting prospects take to the pitch is the most excited I've been as a Juve fan in quite some time. Nicky was certainly not lying in her statement. There is no false narrative. The end of Allegri's tenure was brutal for us fans.
