The Fort was the administrative seat of authority for the presiding Imams and Walid (governors) in times of conflict and peace. It was a formidable stronghold against raiding forces that desired Nizwa's abundant natural wealth and it's strategic location at the Crossroads of vital route.
As salaamu alaykum brother thank you I really enjoyed your video. I have some questions about Oman. 1 Is it possible to enter with an American passport without taking a flight. 2 Are they any masjid that pray without socidistancing and what cities? I really enjoyed seeing those beautiful faces and look forward to a normal Ramadhaan.
Its amazing you look like Omanis anyway bro, you adapted very well. its not country side of Alabama lol Africans and Arabs are intertwin by culture for melena. very good video Thanks.
I so missed your videos, this was an amazing tour of Omani culture. Beautiful people. I loved the desert and fort. Thanks for sharing, take care of your self.
Please, also provide details of the East African (Tanzanian, Zanzibar and Mozambican) historical influences on Omani society and culture. The Swahili and Yao African influences.
Sir Visual Poet 1, Much respect and admiration. I've been watching almost all your videos. I am learning so much. You are taking us to places I can never travel or see. Africans' presence in India and Saudi Arabia and Israel is something so important that I was only remotely aware. You take us right on the ground with some beautiful people. I love your style of interviewing. You show a lot of courage and poise. I love hearing you switch between French, English, Arabic, Mandingo, Hausa, You are truly an amazing person. I look forward to the many more videos and places you will take us. Your editing is superb and exciting. You have a real keen notion of how to tell a story. I hope one day you take us to Brazil. My wife is Afro Brazilian from Salvador. You will find some very interesting stories there. I agree with you that borders and walls should be no more. Brian Long - Philadelphia, PA USA
@Brian Long Thanks for the kind words! Words like yours keep me going. Yes, I have been to many cities in Brazil, but that was before UA-cam era, I guess I have to go back again :) As for now please stay tuned and enjoy my Oman series. One love Brother. Thank you very much!
Oh brother, this is a wonderful film; so natural, so down to earth just beautiful. A proper forest and 🏜 jungle, very different from the concrete jungle of L A, N Y and London City. It makes you want to go for a visit. Keep up the good work explorer.
There are alot of Omani east Africans in East Africa and vice versa. It would be great if you can look for a neighbourhood densely populated by Omanis whose forefathers originally hail from Somalia. Like the Qabilata Daarood min qabaaili Dhufr fii Omaan.

Middle East and Asia?!? "Visual Poet" highlights the AFRICAN PRESENCE. THERE IS NO "MIDDLE EAST". How can an eastern country be in the "MIDDLE".
