I have found with wide leg for my body type to not have the baggie wide all over, more fitted at the waist and the wide from the hips down serves me better. 5'4" hold my weight at the hips and thighs.
I cant remember who sold them because I am literally looking at tons of retailers trying to find a wideleg that might work-- but i saw a wide leg labeled as basically more fitted through the waist/butt. I thinkif its too big all over it just adds weight if you already are curvy. Now i need to find that listing and just order one instead of delaying a decision! 😂
Curvy jeans are the best ones for us. Look for straight leg ones which are more fitted in the hips and kinda baggy or flare out stopping at the ankle. Good american & Abercrombie have a wide range of styles and I find them flattering. Then you can branch out with varying levels of bagginess & length if you want to try more styles. I tried a minimum of 20 jeans before finding the 1st pair I liked 😂.
I finally broke down and got a pair of wide leg jeans. I wore them for the first time today and I felt like I was wearing somebody else's clothes. I might be able to get used to them or I might have to return them... I'm not sure. I just started to watch this video to ingratiate myself to how to style the look. Back in the day if you wore something that short the pants would be considered flood pants or waders! You both inspire me to try them again! Thank you!
I live in SoCal so my full on fall look is similar to what you are showing. Finding pieces with the colors but in light weight fabric is always awesome.
What a wonderful selection of jeans. I’ve been wearing this style since last year when I purchased a pair while on vacation in Europe. I’ve added more pairs to my wardrobe since then. I’m slender with a long torso and have found that high waisted styles look best on me. I don’t yet have a pair with patch pockets so I want to try those next.
I just got two pair. One has the big actual cuff and the other has a smaller fake cuff. I am only 5' tall and wear an 8. I think I can pull it off thanks to your ideas!
I would love to see wide leg jean styles for a super short girl (5’0”) who can’t wear heels or flats. At my job I am in my feet all day and have to be ready to run. Sneakers are most practical.

I love wideleg and flared jeans. I think you should go longer with the jeans your showing, especially with heels. Let the jeans go as close to the floor as possible. This will make your legs look longer . Dark denim always looks way more classier and is slimming too .
Yes wide legs do tend to drown us petites. I feel it works if it was more of a straight leg with flare bottom or fitted at the waist/hips. Basically trying to maintain some of the body shape and not going too much into wide leg territory.

The wide leg jeans don't work for everyone... I have a couple, and they don't look good on me as they are extremely bulky and make me look larger. So, I go for the straight leg instead. 🤔

I hope this suggestion helps. You can try the wide leg pants in a petite and pair it with a peplum top.
