Welcome to my channel How to Knot and in this video, I will be showing you how to tie a scaffold knot. The scaffold knot is typically used in sailing, fishing, camping, climbing, and general purpose applications. This is a very secure and strong adjustable slip loop which is able to grab firmly on an object. A thimble can also be added to increase strength and rigidity, this can referred to as a hard eye. If exposed to an excessive load, this knot can jam making it difficult to untie.
First start by creating a bight in the one end of the rope.
Pulling the working end back towards the loop and wrap it around three times.
Feed the working end through the loops.
Dress and tighten accordingly.
As you can see the loop is adjustable.

EVERY GROUNDY should watch this
It's a common knot for tying a line to a buoy.
How do you untie the scaffold knot?
I imagine that you would just slide the slip knot loose but this is not the type of knot I would ever use to tie scaff tubes on with
@@daddydude5606 I think this knot is for lifting variable sized things up a scaffold. If you need to lift the tubes to the top to construct the scaffold, this is what you use.
@daddydude5606 would be handy for the bags though I reckon, go round the handles well
@fungames24 generally better off doing the rolling hitch, it's the most secure of the tubes and there's two different ways of doing it so you can slide it over shorter tubes doing a few at a time
pull both ends
Your to fast
And you are blocking some of it with the fold back...😢
