- Russsell Wilson finds a new home and Pittsburgh gets a steal signing the QB for a 1 year deal. With several off-season moves to bolster the defense and find leadership on offense, Steelers are elevating to compete in the AFC North, but will it be enough? Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder talk why this doesn’t make them the AFC North favorite but is the perfect landing place for Wilson.
Please stop repeating the terms "lame, corny, square" out of any descriptions regarding Russ Wilson. It sounds silly. It sounded silly when Channing first said it. Blk men are not a monolith. Wilson is a very good QB and appears to be an even better man, father, and husband who should be given the chance to play with a decent team.
You can be a good man, good father, good teammate, etc and still be lame, corny, and/or square. Being a good person doesn’t make you a square and being a square doesn’t make you a good person. If you’re happy with yourself and you’re lame, square, etc then oh well who cares.
My kids call me these names it's all good though with God's blessings they know this corny lame navy dad has and is taking care of them.

You guys called Russ corny & lame all last season now that he is a Steeler you’re changing it up. It made you all look very small calling a good man like Russ negative names & it revealed who you truly are as men. When people show you who they are believe them (Mayo Angelou).
Tomlin is a crappy coach. His players generally underperform. Another playoff choke? Very likely.

I think maybe be sympathetic to what he’s saying… black men in the NFL have rarely gotten the respect they deserve. Mike Tomlin has been the longest reigning black head coach in the NFL. The Rooney rule exists for a reason. Everything isn’t about race yet everything is when you’re black. I have never seen a coach disrespect a QB like Denver did Russ on natl tv. You think that would have happened if he was white? I doubt it since we’ve only seen it w/ a white coach and a black QB. But not every situation that a black person is mistreated disrespected or not given the respect they should get is because they are black and maybe if that thinking stopped. Then maybe they could overcome some of their circumstances because bad things, disrespect, undeserved credit all happen to white people too and they don't go around saying it's because they're white.
