Remembers nothing I shared about my childhood... Etc...... Soooooo.... Drue does get mucha points for making himself aware of your likes and dislikes👍🏻and for being thoughtful and supportive. Hang on to that spark..its precious . If it ever gets blown out... It's hard to light it up again👍🏻 Wisdom.

My parents aren’t Haitian but they are Caribbean and I grew up in a Caribbean community in NYC. I don’t speak creole but I am all too familiar with the “school, church, home” concept. Those were the only places I ever went. 😂

I haven't reached the end yet so don't know if you got the dome effect you wanted but if you preheat to 425 and bake at that temp for the first 5 minutes, then lower the temp to 350 for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs, they should dome up bakery style (mine always did). Source: Sally's Baking Addiction. Every muffin recipe she has says to do this and always domed beautifully so 🤷🏼♀️. Love your love story. You two are relationship goals ❤.

Hi. Haitian American here. "Léglis, lakay, l'ecol." It means "Church, home, school. A common phrase Haitian parents say to their kids when they wanna go out somewhere to get them to focus on those 3 places & basically not let them hang out with their friends or go to events at times 😂
This story is so ironic. Your parents were probably so strict in order to keep you away from boys (and other bad influences😂), and then the one time they relax the rules and let you go somewhere, you meet a boy!!
