Can I ask why you kept taking shots with sidewinders while out of range? I counted 6 sidewinder launches when the symbology said it couldn't hit and wondered if there's a reason to do that?

Whats up man 🙂 So, to sum up. I believe that in all my shots I did so after hearing the tone, which is what is necessary to fire the sidewinders. Furthermore, I did so because the aspect of my opponents and myself (both hot and fast) were favorable. Now, if you want, there are some more explanations. 😅 At 03:02, for example, I fired at 6 miles. I was at Mach 1.1 and my target was approaching very fast (M2000). When I heard the tone, I fired. Even though I was 6 miles away, both my and my opponent's aspects were favorable. My missile did not have to travel the 6 miles to hit the target because it was approaching fast at the same time that my missile had an initial speed of Mach 1.1. One of the secrets to increasing the efficiency of our missiles is to be fast. This way, their initial speed will be the same as ours. I often fire missiles at Mach 1.5. This way, it does not need to spend fuel to reach that speed because it will already start at Mach 1.5. Consequently, it will use its fuel to get even faster. This is different if I fire a missile at Mach 0.8. It will use up all its fuel and will not reach Mach 1.5. Another factor is altitude. The higher you go, the thinner the air and the less friction the missile will have in the air. This way, it will be able to accelerate faster, increasing its range. At 12:05 I was at Mach 1.7 and fired at 14 miles. I had the ton and fired. Since the target was coming in hot, my missile did not have to travel the 14 miles. So the signal I wait for to fire my sidewinders is the ton. Depending on whether we are going against each other and the speed of both of us, I decide whether to fire or not. Is a hit guaranteed? No. It will depend a lot on my opponent. Since there are many novice pilots on these servers, it is easier to get hits, because their RWR will not issue any warning since the sidewinder is a Fox2 missile. So when they think I'm going to fire my missiles I'll have already done it moments before and they'll be flying straight at them. I confess that after the last updates I haven't been able to get many kills with the sidewinders anymore. I don't know if there was a bug that buffed them, but I noticed that they are less efficient now. Sorry for the long text. But feel free to ask more questions if you want. 🤜🤛😉

Its cool to see the pvp side. I only do pve only because its take so long to get into the jet programmar.Y thing get everything all set up and then just to die because you didn't set your RWR on lol. Kills me literally ever time.

Kkkkk oh yes. PvP can be crazy sometimes, especially because, regardless of the PvP server you join, there will be a lot of people who join just to do CAP missions to shoot down other planes. So having the RWR turned on is really essential because there will always be someone hunting us. But don't be scared. It's just a different flying rhythm. Over time you'll get used to, especially because shooting down an enemy in a dogfight on a PvP server will give you one of the most exciting feelings in DCS. 😁😉

@@nazguldcs i bet it's crazy feeling, i get excited when I do something right in pve. I might have to try it. Do you have a discord.

@@iammorpheus7345Yes, but I create it more for people who are members of the channel (which is zero today, 🤣🤣🤣). But these days, I haven't used Discord much. I usually join the servers' own discords, but they're always empty, and when I'm editing my other types of videos, I fly in single player. But if you want I can provide you access to it. No problem. 🙂
