- EDIT: 9/26/24 all 2009 DE41LFRs are currently done for good/retired. seems like this was the LAST EVER VIDEO recorded on one of theses series.
Man, how could i tell u how its so hard just to find this MF....... we got so lucky that bus was around the corner at the layover (hence... its 5 of theses still in service out of 1 garage/yard)
Transmission: Allison EP40 HybriDrive
Engine: Cummins ISL9
Route: 65 Dundalk Marine Terminal (EB)
Division: Eastern (2)
This sound ( 4:28 to 4:50 ) will never get old for me. I miss these buses very much. Out of the whole fleet, these and the 2010's rode the best.
Am I confused? Is DE41LFR just one a one foot extra New Flyer?
Yes, this bus itself labelled as "DE40LFR", but its 1 foot longer. Some Agencies have DE41LFRs instead of the actual thing "DE40LFRs".
@@Eli17000why do they do that though? Doesn’t look like a difference in size
@@railfannerjs6308Ima be honest, idek 😂 but it actually is 1 foot longer, Between a Xcelsior and this someone compared it, and it actually is believe it or not.
Is this bus still running
Nope. This unit is with 6 other coaches ('09 DE41LFRs) heading for PG County TheBus for their transit.
Dam
At least I got to ride many of those long time ago
