Parents dying is a tough one. I've had a tough relationship with my parents, I've spent most of my life not feeling loved or wanted. One thing I learned from not feeling loved is that people focus too much on being loved, on receiving love from others. It is far better to focus not on being loved but on loving because that you can control and it is the act of loving, not being loved, that brings happiness and contentment. Anytime you want to feel loved just start giving love and you'll start to feel loved.
Instead of worrying about the amount of love you receive, see yourself as THE source of love in your world, an endless and never exhausting source eminating out of you from the center of your chest, powerful and without end. Once you look at yourself this way, as THE source of love, you'll see that you can supply all the love you'll ever need and you won't feel lonely anymore.
A good practice is to practice loving: pick something up (doesn't matter what), hold it, and spend a minute or two feeling love and gratitude for it. You can also see yourself standing in front of you and then hug yourself and send yourself all the love and approval you need. Doing these practices you'll quickly notice a feeling of happiness and peace wash over you and you'll notice your fears start to disappear because you can't be in alignment with love and be afraid at the same time.

I'm old. Full disclosure. What's cool about getting old? Reaching the point where you don't care... or give a fuck. Maybe somebody wants my opinion, probably not. Maybe I'm gonna die...yeah...don't gaf. I'm retired, I got a full time job...just to stay in the game. No matter how old you are, you can be a role model. Or just check out. Meanwhile, not being afraid of death, AT ALL, has dividends. There's a little less anxiety. Social pressure evaporates. Enjoy your day. Have fun, make friends, be out there. Life is better than the alternative...for sure.

Yup, I don't want to age either. I noticed I'm spending too much time scrubbing and polishing myself to try and look as young as before. When I was young I could skip taking a bath for months and my skin would still glow with youthful exuberance. Now I have to shower every day and my electric bill is going sky high. 🤦♂️😂

I just got stuck on: I can't imagine having kids. Basically it is a no-brainer. You just need to take care of someone how cannot take care of himself. that is all. I work in construction (IBEW), and I HATE seeing people spit chewing tobacco. I do spit out post-nasal drip cuz of pollen and dehydration once in a while. But not in front of people.
