    I just bought the ts25-384. I love it. Not as much detail as the 640 but, the 1.5x base magnification is ideal for hog hunting.

    A TS 25-256 has a 3.5x base power. Remember when doubling magnification it cuts the
    clarity by half. A 35-384 base power is 2x. Go to 4x and it's a 35-192. Compare that to the prior TS 25 with its 3.5x base. The higher base at 3.5x has the edge at 256.

      exactly, thats what most people dont understand. its important how big your pixle is at a given distance. thats why you can spot with a 256-15 further than 384-19 and nearly as much as a 384-25, but the FOV is smaller on the 256. So you have to find the sweet spot for your needs. 25-256 or 35-256 is good as a scope but for a spotter the FOV isnt that good. for high resolution you need big lenses.

    What was the approximate distance to the cows? Very helpful video, thanks for posting it.

    • @Mrclean308

      The cows are about 70 yards, the barn is 150, the first bale of hay in the 2.5x magnification clips is at 180 yards, the second bale is closer to 300. The TC19-256 is listed as 1x, but the included eye piece intended for use as a clip on is what shrinks it down to 1x. Using it as a stand alone scope it is 2.5x. Also if you take the clip on eye piece from the TC19-256 and put it on the TS50-640 it makes it 1x, but it lacks the features to use it as a clip on.(You can't move the image around to zero it) Your field of view doesn't increase either, the screen is just shrunk down to make things 1:1. I tried putting it in front of an aimpoint (1x), but it looks distorted, very fish eye. Looking through it bare eye or in front of a scope it looks fine though.

    Is this the V1 or V2 version.

      Version 1. My mom bought a TS19-256 V2 and I think hers looks a little better.

    Is there a reticle inside the TC19-256?

    • @Mrclean308
      @Mrclean308  8 місяців тому +2

      It has two modes. One mode functions just as any stand alone Rattler, with different reticles and the whole screen is used. The other mode is "Clip On" mode where you would use it mounted in front of a scope. In clip on mode, the image on the screen is shrunk down and doesn't take up the whole screen, and to zero it the image is moved around on the screen until the point of impact lines up with your scopes crosshair. Clip on mode has no reticle on the screen and depends on the optic it is mounted on to provide the aiming point.

      @@Mrclean308thank you, but in the manual that is available on AGM official site, there is nothing about scope mode, do you using any fotage of it in your video?

    Great comparison. So, do you think the TS19 256 can handle shots up to 150 yds?

    • @Mrclean308
      @Mrclean308  Рік тому +5

      I guess on a larger animal like a hog. It takes more work to identify what animal you are looking at and where you are aiming on the animal. If it is paired with other night vision to help identify what it is you are seeing you could make some shots pretty far out. By itself, I feel like I would want a higher res sensor, mostly to make sure I didn't shoot a calf or someones dog. The 384s are not super expensive in comparison, that being said... I still like running around at night and spotting things with it. It takes more time watching the animal to identify it.

    Would be even more interesting with an information about the distances to the objects shown
