Brad is probably never getting topped in this role but Mark Hamill definitely made a worthy successor regardless of what you thought of the remake overall.
They are completely different though. Hamill’s Chucky is a good-intentioned AI whose programming was messed with whereas Brad’s is a crazy voodo-obsessed serial killer. They both played two very different roles to perfection.

If this was made into a child’s movie instead of horror with chuckie being the innocent doll having to be rescued by the humans it would have been a better movie.
why? the movie is about how AI is evolving so much that can be dangerous to humans. It has the most brutal death scenes of the franchise, and the horror ambience is constantly growing. Like the last scene in the toy market is pure tension. The only thing i deslike about this reboot is the design of Chucky. Besides that, is a nice horror movie worth watching.. in my opinion.
No kid with a smart phone would play with a doll like that lol. And first of all. Chuck is CHARLES LEE RAY. A serial killer who used magic to put his body inside I toy so that he wouldn’t die. Why do these reboots just make it seem like it’s just a crazy toy. It’s a real person that used voodo and he’s hiding in the toy body until he can find another. He’s not just a slasher toy

This isnt Mark Hamills fault. Hes got a great and evil voice. But everything else was just wrong. First of all, they shouldnt have even made it about Andy. They replaced the Good Guy doll with a nightmare of a doll. His evilness is far too obvious. Why would any kid want a toy they call "Creepy"??
It's such a shame that ORION PICTURES. Is not the same group that brought us this movie. Thats why we didnt get a sequel. Now ORION with a new team and group and president of alana mayor are now focusing on diversity movies. From what I researched. All there movies that they did with the new group have all FLOPPED. While CHILDS PLAY made 45 Million!!!!!
It’s a solid movie to me. Really enjoyed this new take on Chucky with it’s new design and voice actor too. It actually made me feel bad for him in a way. Definitely not a bad movie, wayyyy better than those curse of Chucky movies. Honestly, Child’s Play 1-3 are his best look, movies were good but not great. Bride was entertaining and fun and Seed was decent but all over the place but Curse just looked cheap and not scary at all.
