Songs that describe the pieces of my broken heart flying in the wind
None of my friends knew who Jason Molina was. It’s great to come in here and see it’s many others who appreciated his music as much as I did
Amen. Perfect Garage-y guitar duet with scant lyrics. Music made for nobody except deep listeners with a tolerance for dissonnance. My friends dont "get it" either. So I listen to it loud, alone. This music gives me chills.
I hear what ya saying. I’ve put a couple of friends onto em years ago but they wasn’t as fussed. I’ll be honest I was pleased they didn’t get into em. Was before youtube etc. I felt so special like they were just for me and loved that nobody in uk new owt about em. I’m trying to change and understand that I’m not the only fan but I I love how that feeling when a bands all yours ❤
My friend introduced me to Jason's music. He's also the artist for some of his albums.
@@roberthornung72 that’s awesome. I like the album with the Owl cover
@@grifftrainthats the Songs Ohia album. Great stuff! Will did some covers for Brown Bird too
Sitting outside at 5 a.m. in the dark listening to this and staring up at the planets, stars and our moon. What truly beautiful experience.
One of the best days of my life was when friend I’d just met at college leant me about 15 albums on a Friday morning inc Smog, Jayhawks, pernice brothers, east river pipe, Will oldman, vic chestnut, lambchop, black heart procession, handsome family. Loved all of them but as well as those he included Willard grant, Red house painters , whiskytown, Godspeed u black emporer, pinetop seven. All of em just took me over and changed everything. But still the 1 that sticks out still to this day and I can remember the 1st listen and I still have it always in my mind is songs Ohio’s album The lioness. I’ve not seen you since we finished college in about 2000/2001 time. Probably no chance you’ll see this but cheers Nigel….surname I’m sure was Slater. Port vale fan from Grantham
Ha! Similar story for me. My college roommate worked for the school radio and brought home demos all the time.
Songs Ohia instantly grabbed me and never let go.
Love a lot of the bands you mentioned
That trilling guitar work in "Being in Love" at around 28 min mark is so good
I am always stunned into silence when I hear the melancholy, the internal struggle, and the subtle intensity of his voice and inflections.
Dito brother.. D I T O . . .
I could not put it any better- he goes straight for the painful spots- but it’s healing- but you gotta be in the mood to sign on to Jason cause some of his stuff is “difficult” to listen to - it’s not bad- it’s good! It’s just “ difficult music “ and not everyone is up for that-
It’s ok- cause Taylor Swift is finally touring the so world again- so sanity has been restored 😅-
But I’ll just stay here with Jason / he always tells
Me something new and interesting and himself - and ME!
Nobody tries anymore- he sings a lot about the idea of simply “trying” - such a good thing to hear
My favourite USsingersongwriter. Always been, always will..
Miss you, Jason. 🤍
The sound quality on this is fucking nice, bro.
This gig has blown my mind!
Unbelievably fantastic quality. Thank you so much for uploading this. Love Jason and the work he made forever.
Timing is perfect for this post, especially while we slowly reaching the March 16. I will drink some wine on that day and listen all kinds of Jason's brilliant masterpieces. Thank you Unibrow. Peace and love from Turkey.
this album takes me to another place. can't believe it's been 9 years. rest in peace, may his spirit and his music live on, for eternity.
Only two months after release. Glad I looked up the music releases for the 2022 year so far.
This is an incredible recording of peak Jason. Fantastic - many thanks to all involved.
Dont know how i have missed this recording. What a fantastic performance, great show. Wish i had been there. Jason Molina is something else.
there really is nothing and nobody else like Molina, i find it difficult to explain how his makes me feel, it's beautiful, sometimes i wonder if enduring certain types of pain leads being able to express certain emotions that are hard to sum up in words, then i feel feel sorry for the fact he had to endure what he did but it's nice to know we're not alone. rip
Sempre magico Jason Molina.❤
As much as I love every musical note, every lyric, the sincerity in his voice etc. The best thing for me though is how I have to prepare mentally before I put them on as I know it’s time to be taken over 👌🏻
So I went to the pub this afternoon, and the cars were playing on the duke box. So I ranted a bit to my friends about what a great band they were and how Elliot Easton had made me want to give up the trumpet and take up the guitar. Then tonight I loaded up Jason to go to sleep to, and this is what I heard - he's magic
It was just what I needed
Thank You for uploading this one.
Gone Ten Years tomorrow :(
Unbelievable stuff. Thank you Unibrow. And thanks to Jason, god rest his soul. Great great performance. Love from Turkey.

Rip Molina
wow :) you rock
Thanks for sharing! This version of Nobody Tries That Hard Anymore is otherworldly. Molina sounds so smooth in this recording.
Couldn’t Agree more 👍
This is real.
Benjamin was from Cleveland Ohio
TIGRESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
t's difficult not to worry about what happens next
Certain looks sort out confused looks
And certain looks sport confused looks
And I watched us talking in the mirror
And you put on that look
That says this little star wishes she weren't single
It is the eye that catches me a man protesting his worth
It is the year that catches you putting the shake on your words
You are alert as a tigress at a common table with her fate
You can almost taste it
We'll be gone be morning or be together by then
We'll be gone be morning or be together by then
And I believe every woman has made up her mind to win
So wise ..
In the end it's only all about Love,
but what's a woman
to claim supremacy 'bout this..... :
vipers most of them,
----- and I'm a 100% hetero man.
what band does he mention at 42:05 ?
Edit: I found it, Scout Niblett - Miss My Lion
I second that question
Swearing at Motorists
@@jmunzke1 what SaM song is it by chance? he mentions something about a band called "Lion" or "line" ?
