Walking in the city center of Van/Turkey

- Hi everyone,
We shot this video walking in the center of Van, Southeast Turkey. After enjoying the famous Van breakfast we started in the Beşyol neighbourhood and walked along Cumhuriyet Caddesi which is the main shopping street of the city. Then we continued on Kazım Karabekir Boulevard which has more shops alongside cafes, restaurants, etc. towards the lake.

@@biscuit4812 read history. Van has been Kurdish since thousands of years but the fact that you think it’s Armenia. It was under Arminian empire with majority of Kurdish. We Kurdish people don’t hate Arminian and I personally support Armenia in karabakh. While Armenia and Azerbaijan were a reason for Stalin to remove Kurdish people in red Kurdistan and we don’t look at it as a reason to hate you Arminians. So when you see a Kurd you must not hate us. Because you are the same no nation has been peaceful and perfect. And that’s clear so if van is Armenia. Karabakh is Kurdistan. Because Arminian stole it with ussr’s help.

Van has a long history as a major urban area. It has been a large city since the first millennium BCE, initially as Tushpa, the capital of the kingdom of Urartu from the 9th century BCE to the 6th century BCE, and later as the center of the Armenian kingdom of Vaspurakan. Turkic presence in Van and in the rest of Anatolia started as a result of Seljuk victory at the Battle of Malazgirt (1071) against the Byzantine Empire.[9][10][11]
Van is often referred to in the context of Western Armenia and Northern Kurdistan.
