Both blocks are lovely, and I love the completed quilt! I really like smaller quilts. I will usually take a bigger quilt and make two out of it. I donate most of my quilts to my church Dorcas group. We give our quilts to different first responder groups when there are domestic cases, or fires, and to different pregnancy centers for their babies. We give to the cancer center too, but they've not taken any new donations since covid started. Smaller quilts and baby quilt seem to be best and since the smaller ones are easier for me to quilt, it's ideal! I have made some bigger ones and have a sweet friend that will quilt them on her long arm. I love seeing other people's quilts. I learn so much and they encourage me when i feel discouraged.

I have been making Fabric Cafe quilts this year. I love them and they are quick, unless you are fussy cutting. Haha. I like to add bigger borders to make mine a large lap size.
I'm loving the quilting video. I'm hating my material. I just finished my first Sew Quick Quilt and fraying is so bad. I can't spend a fortune but I want fabrics that don't fray so badly. Any suggestions?

I bought 2 3 yard quilt books on-line. When I opened them excited to make some quilts, I was disappointed how confusing the instructions were. I am spoiled by FQS and MSQC
You think the directions are confusing? Really? I was surprised at how simple the directions in these books are. I’m used to strip sewing, so maybe that’s why. I usually just skim over them. Looking at the picture of the quilt is how I figure it out mainly. The directions give me sizes and assembly, if I need that. I’ve never had a problem reading directions, though. I highlight some things, that I may have a problem with. Make a paste up sheet, with ur fabric #1, fabric #2 and fabric#3 swatches. This will help also. MSQC Is doing some videos on these quilts, also. Good luck.

Thank you. :-). The mat on the bed of my sewing machine is a Sew Steady Grid Glider Mat. There is a link to it in the description of the video. It smooths the surface on the bed of your machine so that stuff doesn't get caught in any cracks for crevices. I love it! Thank you for watching. :-) April
