Genocide is from Zoom (makers of Phalanx). Genocide² is a combination/remix of Genocide 1 and Genocide 2 for the FM Towns. The two games were originally released separately with a few differences on X68000.
Haven't bothered to pick up the X68k versions yet. They are on a lot of floppies, and it's always a gamble getting a set that fully works these days sadly.
Very nice looking game. I know the sequel was ported to the SFC, and I can only imagine it doesn't stack up so well in comparison to x68k or fm-towns versions, but have you heard anything about that port? Would be the only option for me to play it in un-emulated fashion being that I don't own an x68k or fm-towns.
Will not run on a Marty at all. I've heard people claim it will, but the box and instructions clearly says "Not Marty compatible," in big bold letters lol. I tested it on my Car Marty, and it tries to boot, then resets the machine everytime.
Hello and thanks for the video. I have a question: I have just purchased an Fm-towns SH2 and I would like to take the "midi" out to my modules. Given the difficulty of obtaining an "FMT-403", can we output lunch via the RS-232c port?
Depends on the game. Genocide supports both internal boards and RS-MIDI. Some games only support internal, and others only support RS. Note that a simple RS-232-MIDI cable will not work. You need a compatible interface.

I was thing of getting the pc engine version of it
ok thanks
Another dum question lol how well would this run on the Marty?
Genocide 1 on PC-Engine is decent, a big downgrade, but still fun.
Genocide 2 on SFC however is terrible though.
Do you have this for the x68k?
: )
