That's incredible. Production probably left them in the storage when they wrapped and they got left there when they didn't pay the storage .. and then the locker got bid on and the thrift store bought it and sold everything in the store.
Dude that’s a fucking miracle that they weren’t thrown away and for sure no one at the thrift store I worked at would know what they were looking at and throw them away
I think it’s weirder that those movies were largely shot in Wilmington, NC on the other side of the country and then the costumes were shipped to CA only to be dumped at a thrift store.
@@AmyCherryLMAO I agree, from the trilogy i rank them from best to worst 1. 2018 2. Ends 3. Kills Ends and kills is debatable, but Myers finally officially dying, made it for me. And i disliked how Laurie’s daughter died. Soooooo stupid. What was she doing in that house……
I was getting fitted for a costume for a production here in New Mexico and when I was walking out I spotted two production used Hellboy long coat complete with patches. Not gonna lie, I kind of freaked out when I saw them.
How does someone with a relatively niche interest happen to find a holy grail that few people would even recognize? The amount of luck involved is astounding. Good for him for finding it. Even though he sold them, he still rescued these pieces from an unknown fate.
Like you said this stuff happens in dreams when you find cool stuff like that in a thrift store Massive props to Jospeh for finding them and letting you tell the rest of us about it
That’s absolutely unbelievable! Wow and before I saw all the other cool evidence you pointed out at first as soon as I saw that tag that said 46L I knew that belonged to James Jude Courtney because we are the exact same size. I got a few pictures with him in my outfit and we are completely the same size and he told me it was a 46 long. This is an utterly amazing fine what a lucky guy. I also cosplay Myers from 78 right up to ends except no Corey. Amazing find!
Something doesn’t add up the film crew wouldn’t just drop off props like this from films at some random thrift store in the middle of nowhere. Without the proper paperwork, documentation, and proof it’s going to be hard to prove that these are actually “screen used”.
Man that's rad. Wonder if it was an accident? Gozers costume she wore at the end of Ghostbusters was found at a thrift store too, had those little bubble balls on it. Was on a rack. How amazing.
That's amazing and congratulations to him. And about those P210 knives I have a set of 4 on my part 2 template glove made by Springwood replicas who isn't making gloves anymore but I got a great template glove with original P210 knives not replicas. Those Halloween costumes are so beautiful and what a great find and what a coincidence to stumble upon them at a thrift store.
What in hells tarnation is this world coming to where you just pretty much trash Hollywood memorabilia. There no appreciation to this stuff let alone the fans that would kill to have a piece of this. Why thrift things like this if you’re not looking for money why not give it away to fans who would appreciate its value and nostalgia to their favorite costumes killer. Awesome find brother and like Chris said cherish those and share with the ones you love man good eye
I bought 4 sets of coveralls that are a different brand but had been pinned with safety pins, like the way they did with James J Courtney. I asked if they came with the batch of screen used stuff and they said yes. Same color, also FR coveralls, but different brand. I’m thinking they wanted to try using those?
Hey Chris, how’s it going? I finally got a halloween grail replica. My cousin Jolene, her daughter my second cousin Claire and myself walked into my local thrift store by my house, just down the road. I found a TOTS 2017 Mr. Spock Star Trek mask. There was two on a wreck one had the hair half dishevelled but the one i got from my cousins is near mint with the tag still attached to it. I remember you said in several of your cosplay videos and videos on this channel that the original production designer Tommy Lee Wallace almost coverted a Don Post Studios Spock mask into the original Michael Myers mask. Instead he went with the Captain Kirk William Shatner mask for the Shape. But to own a replica of the og Spock mask sculpted by Justin Mabry is so awesome. Have a safe and happy halloween man. 🧡🎃 - Jordan of Jman Fett Cosplay
@@josephf3713 I know someone who walked into a goodwill store with a binder of old Pokémon cards they already owned to take photos for “stories”. Also, I did use to the word “probably”. Moral of the story, what I said isn’t far fetched…
I messaged Joseph and our friend immediately when they scored these. I couldn't believe it. I ended up buying a jacket and James Jude Courtney tailored Workrites
Beyond stoked that a fan got these instead of some guy taking a dump inside them.
Incredible find wow to find something that valuable at a thrift store is a once in a lifetime thing
This is why I love going thrift stores.
It’s a treasure chest you never know what you’re going to find.
So happy it's found and saved.

Still one of the most underrated and confusing find EVER. A GODDAMN GRAIL.

Who the hell does that to real movie props and costumes?!
Someone who doesn't know what they have
I mean they're from awful movies so....
@@grysndotwavMaybe kills, def not 2018.

Thank you for the video !! It was a crazy find
What pieces did you keep? And how much did you sell the other pieces for?
That is some serious serendipity right there!
Crazy to be able to find those in a thrift store!

Kinda sad to see movie props in a thrift store
But im glad they are in good hands

Dan Aykroyd's Ghostbusters 2 jumpsuit was also found in a thrift store complete with the name patch

I loved this video! We need more videos about finding old props and costumes in weird locations!

OMG what a lucky guy!!!!!
Maaan what i would give to get ahold of a real studio used Sheriff’s jacket from the movies. One of the best jackets I’ve ever worn.
Dose Melissa Barrera come with it 🤣
I got one of the police jackets 😍
That is so Badass!!!
That's insane!
gosh… that’s full treasure!!!
I can't believe they were just handed in
46L ! That's exactly my size🤘🤘🤘
What a fucking find!
So i wonder if this will spark a hunt at thrift stores in la I wonder if they will be a new find
next up they’re gonna do the mask
I was able to get a screen used 2018 stunt coverall pair and screen used 2018 sherrifs jacket
Probably already owned the stuff and just did some placement for photos and stories. Nobody is ever THAT lucky.
Why and how would I do that?? Do you think the thrift store is just gonna let me hang up movie production stuff for a photo? Cmon now 😂😂

I dropped those coveralls off at the thrift store a few weeks ago. I rehauled them myself.
God damn.... Shit like this will only happen in America, because the studios are there.
Clickbait. I also found the original Kermit the frog there and a pair of screen used Ruby slippers
Yep, and most of them went to one collector hogging ass 🥲😭
I actually did not hog any, I kept one jacket and 1 jumpsuit, I bought a majority to sell which was about it, so no hogging here
