Well dressed, bad ass cowboy with an energy gun that shoots weaponized fucking holograms and a cyborg dog companion strolling around the wastes popping caps in muties and digging through every container in the world, open or locked
I’ve played 3, NV and 4 since they came out. I’ve watched tons of UA-cam videos over the years. I haven’t been able to play since the show came out so it’s nice to watch a perspective of someone who hasn’t played before. Really enjoying this series and I hope you stick with it!
New Vegas is by far my favorite. The developers did a great job with the limited schedule they were given and it would have been nice to see what they could have done if they were given more time. This game is almost a decade and a half old and still has some of the best writing in a video game ever. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and I'm happy to watch you along your way!
Hi, Paige! First time viewer and loooong time Fallout fan. Don’t know if this was shared at some point, but the reason why the game might feel a little sped up/fast is because it’s meant to be played capped at 60 FPS. Capping the frames can make the game feel much better/play as intended.
Girl Im so glad you're playing this game. As a teen I was OBSESSED with this game, and now I hope you'll be obsessed with it too lol. It's such an immersive and fun game, and the Role playing elements are endless! Enjoy the game, and take your time!
The intro cinematic (the part before Ron Perlman's speech) is so good because in less than a minute and a half introduces 6 of the most important factions in the game. We start in the Lucky 38 that represents Mr. House/The Strip. We then see soldiers and a ranger representing the New California Republic. The ranger shoots at a member of the Fiends. Then we see an expedition of soldiers from Ceasar's Legion. And finally we see two members of the Great Khans and Benny who represents the Yes Man/Independent ending. We see the 4 possible endings and a couple of other important factions. This intro shows that the most important part of this story is the conflicts between all of these factions.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are my favourites in the series by far and it's great seeing people trying them for the first time as a result of the show. The likely reason everything seems sped up is the fps being too high. From what I remember it's an engine issue that's also present in Fallout 3 and 4 - the fps is tied to the game engine speed and causes problems over a certain point. Capping the games max fps at 60 in the Nvidia control panel should* solve it. *Although when I did this for Fallout 3, it fixed the speed issue but caused micro stutters, dropping the cap to 59fps got everything running nicely though. The silver lining to the Fallout show, has to be people coming to the older games. Like Fallout NV which is kind of a must play, only really good 3D Fallout.
You are really bad at roleplaying that 1 charisma 😄 Jokes aside, so good to see someone streaming NV with such patience and care. That combined with the depth of NV's storytelling... this is going to be a wild ride.
You technically killed Ringo lmao. You didn't give enough arc on the grenade rifle and it took most of his health which some of the last powder gangers finished him off.
I downloaded New Vegas a few days ago. I am doing a bit of research before I go in as I don't want to make too many mistakes. Loved the Fallout tv series.
Wild Wasteland is only fun if you're old enough to get all the references - and then only take it once. Always nice to see new players. I have faaaar too many hours in F3, F4 and NV 😁
In my experience, the two best traits are Skilled and Trigger Discipline. There's really no reason to take any others besides those two unless you're on a melee-only run.
Nice! Funny enough, New Vegas was free on Epic Games (though not compatible with mods). Played thru that, then played Fallout 4, then the show came out. All that in a span of a year. Have fun. Some notes though: Some perks help you in the long run. I would have picked Swift Learner for the 10% experience boost. Not fun at first but it helps you throughout the game to get leveled up faster and get those other perks faster too of course. Always, always, aaaaalways loot Wonderglue and Duct tape :) Glad you're having fun!
Generally never watch playthroughs but I recently installed New Vegas myself after watching the show and loving it. Was looking through mod videos on UA-cam and noticed this video, So yeah guess I'm not the only one to want to play New Vegas there's probably loads of us.
I'm playing it now for the first time too and it is so addicting. I've played now for 85 hours and haven't reached Benny yet. I'm prepping a black widow /mister Sandman revenge kill on him ;)
I can really see fallout becoming the next major IP to really blow up on a worldwide scale. I think fallout becomes a bigger IP than like fast and furious and shit like that.
I want to play this game so bad!! 😫 All I know about New Vegas is that the Deathclaws in this game are overpowered out of all the Fallout game series... I can't wait to get my copy 😈
I love how streamers are constantly introduced to new things they would never have tried themselves, in that hunt for clicks. It's still broadening your horizons regardless.
you can customize which guns/weapons you have at ready, it looks like a circle and each weapon is coordinated to a number key. i forget how to set it up though, it's been many years
They're on stream all the time! Ozzy and Dio are Siamese Snowshoe brothers- and then we have Moonshadow, a calico cat, who is the only lady in the house 😂
I love that the show brings in new fans to the games though i think that if you want the best lore game experience you have to start with Fallout3 since in the time line that one takes place before Vegas and Fallout 4.
10:30 If you want to understand anybody. Just ask them. How did you balance your character on your FIRST playthough? It will tell you more about them than that they are willing to admit.
The Charisma 1, gets that response from the Doctor, others give different responses. I've heard that many people think Charisma is worthless, I disagree, it effects Speech and Barter. But more importantly it definitely effects how your companions behave. Wild Wasteland is a Laugh, but generally useless, particularly at the start. a waste of a Perk.
You can just level up speech and pass all speech checks without Charisma. Trust me, Charisma is basically useless bro. You’re better off spending those points in Luck, Endurance for implants (CRUCIAL). I just did an entire playthrough with 1 Charisma and I noticed no differences between me and companions, I even unlocked that one Arcade Gannon sidequest (the one that’s particularly difficult to start) pretty quickly
@@logan-pe4rm My experience has been vastly different, you can not increase Barter and Speech at the start of the game, only after you level up, and I want them both at 25 minimum. I've Looked at Companions, with Charisma from 1 to 10, and the higher the number the more aggressive and powerful they are in combat, New Vegas is not Fallout 3, where Charisma is Useless. Also, though not mentioned, Charisma does effect how people interact with you, you get more flies with Honey than Vinegar. Obsidian is not Bethesda.
Ooh! I love this game, and you are very perty. This should be fun. Hope you enjoy. 🙂 Edit: after 3 incorrects, back out and retry (hacking) Edit: don't worry about bad karma, as long as you're in good standings with a certain tribe/town, you're golden 🙂

My favorite entry in the Falloutverse! A good choice.
It’s great seeing the Fallout community grow!
You technically killed Ringo lmao. You didn't give enough arc on the grenade rifle and it took most of his health which some of the last powder gangers finished him off.
Oh my 🥲 thats unfortunate!
@@PaigeTheWitch I appreciate that you said “Oh well” and didn't save scum lol
I love how you unintentionally used the Good springs settlers as meat sheilds lol
I used VATS exclusively all the way through the game, was plenty awesome, no shame it's part of the game
I wish I could reexperience Fallout New Vegas back on the 360 when I was kid. Good luck in your playthrough
I downloaded New Vegas a few days ago. I am doing a bit of research before I go in as I don't want to make too many mistakes. Loved the Fallout tv series.
Just play it however you like, that’s the magic of it
@@John-s7s8s Man, you may as well not play it if you're going to be this obsessive over playing it perfectly.
Wild Wasteland is only fun if you're old enough to get all the references - and then only take it once. Always nice to see new players. I have faaaar too many hours in F3, F4 and NV 😁
11:40 this part was basically every job application in like 2010
Looking for new channels and a quick roulette of the UA-cam algorithm brought me here 🙏 love the content I’ve seen so far!
Skilled + good natured is the best trait combo
In my experience, the two best traits are Skilled and Trigger Discipline. There's really no reason to take any others besides those two unless you're on a melee-only run.
okay. That's how you choose to play. Don't try and dictate to others how to build their characters.
Nice! Funny enough, New Vegas was free on Epic Games (though not compatible with mods). Played thru that, then played Fallout 4, then the show came out. All that in a span of a year. Have fun. Some notes though:
Some perks help you in the long run. I would have picked Swift Learner for the 10% experience boost. Not fun at first but it helps you throughout the game to get leveled up faster and get those other perks faster too of course.
Always, always, aaaaalways loot Wonderglue and Duct tape :)
Glad you're having fun!
OMG I missed You so much after the Witcher series !!! And now You take a spin of my fav game series ever ! Go on Girl ! You will nail it ! ❤
Seeing you pick the Wild Wasteland perk in the beginning made me Subscribe. I am ready for a truly wacky adventure 😵💫
Generally never watch playthroughs but I recently installed New Vegas myself after watching the show and loving it.
Was looking through mod videos on UA-cam and noticed this video, So yeah guess I'm not the only one to want to play New Vegas there's probably loads of us.
The bug where the camera shoots back up to the ceiling and then back to Doc Mitchell after your player gets out of bed is prime New Vegas bro 💀😭😂
A paint gun shoots paint. I need to get me an elephant gun!!!
R.I.P Matthew Perry, great as a voice of Benny (the guy who shot you at the beginning)
I'm playing it now for the first time too and it is so addicting. I've played now for 85 hours and haven't reached Benny yet. I'm prepping a black widow /mister Sandman revenge kill on him ;)
On computer terminals, highlight brackets of symbols to remove wtong passwords and also reset tries.
I can really see fallout becoming the next major IP to really blow up on a worldwide scale. I think fallout becomes a bigger IP than like fast and furious and shit like that.
Imagine if the Fallout show started with an opening like New Vegas. Thatd be killer.
Seems that season 2 might be in New Vegas
cant wait to see ur letys play :D im at the start but i hope you took the wild wastland perk. just makes it abit fun from all the misery xD
There are tons of great mods for this game like the Unofficial patch (this game has a lot of bugs) and High-res textures for starters.
Cute Cat!
For someone named Raige you’re pretty good natured
I want to play this game so bad!! 😫 All I know about New Vegas is that the Deathclaws in this game are overpowered out of all the Fallout game series... I can't wait to get my copy 😈
I love how streamers are constantly introduced to new things they would never have tried themselves, in that hunt for clicks. It's still broadening your horizons regardless.
It was meant to be like fallout 1 and 2, that's why its still the best 3D fallout there is
Lets go! New Vegas is my favorite Fallout game!
you can customize which guns/weapons you have at ready, it looks like a circle and each weapon is coordinated to a number key. i forget how to set it up though, it's been many years
I just found your channel
Omg I freakin love your kitty cat!! Is there somewhere I can find details about them?
They're on stream all the time! Ozzy and Dio are Siamese Snowshoe brothers- and then we have Moonshadow, a calico cat, who is the only lady in the house 😂
@PaigeTheWitch Aw you have so many! I have one void myself :)
Love this game. Just finished Dead money DLC for the 70 th time .The Divide next... . Nice face.
Interesting how the tv show is introducing new people into the games.
Patrolling The Mohawe almost makes me wish for a nuclear winter...
Heck yea. New Vegas is so good. Welcome to the Mojave Wasteland.
Obsidian is not Bethesda.
fun fact: with that luck you can go to the strip and gamble and pretty much always win and make a ton of caps lol
1, Yay, fallout new vegas playthrough!
B, Cat!!!!!!!!!!
tip=you can use the pip boy to hotkey your weapons or items makes life easier changing out guns etc
That Elder Scrolls wall mount is so damn cool. Please tell me where you got it 😫
excellent game, new subscriber 😎🇺🇸👌
Love to see new play through videos on fallout
Ooh! I love this game, and you are very perty. This should be fun. Hope you enjoy. 🙂
Edit: after 3 incorrects, back out and retry (hacking)
Edit: don't worry about bad karma, as long as you're in good standings with a certain tribe/town, you're golden 🙂
