Cutest Baby Predator Whale

It was incredibly humbling to have the largest predator on the planet swim her adorable calf up to me, and relax, watching the calf nuzzle her as she rested on the surface was heart melting, later she left her calf with us and dove to the depths quickly in search of food.
I shouted to a boat nearby to kill its engines as the calf approached it, nuzzling it as if it were another whale. The calf is vulnerable while the mother is at depth and while they are so playful spending more time on the surface because they cannot hold their breath as long this leaves them vulnerable to ship strikes and more likely to become entangled in floating marine debris. Several dead whales have washed ashore with stomaches full of marine debris and plastic, some swim with entanglement slowly cutting through their tails and jaws, and who know how many drown from entanglement out of sight. Industrial fishing vessels lose a lot of fishing gear and nets can turn into “ghost nets” continually killing as they drift through the ocean. Please help protect whales, sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, marine birds, and other marine species by not being a conscious consumer of your daily choices. Filmed by @JuanSharks
