love this brand, I think their amps sounds really cool ! Rhett Shull used one a lot and throw many effects on it, and sounded awesome ! But compare to your Dr Z isn't it the same kind of vibe ? (more tweakable...)
@@arthurarnould1370 there is a comparison coming with my Dr. Z, but it's a different thing. In my experience the BTR23 is more hifi than the Z-Wreck Jr., which can be a good or a bad thing. To me every Dr. Z I tried was more tweakable and had an EQ that was easier to manage for me personally. But there are two more videos coming about this amp.
@@StevenAnthonyGuitar hard to beat a Plexi lol. If you ever get a chance to try a Germino please do it. I have a classic 45 and it’s great. I will have to give the studio JTM its due. At the 5 watt lower volumes it holds its own against the Germino with a 2x12 cab. Have you looked at the Gibson GA 40?
@@Hiline1970 I really want to try a Germino and have been looking for one for a while, but you can hardly find them in Europe. Haven't looked at the Gibson, though I might be interested in a Skylark reissue.
Any compromises with the new company owner?
@@bm7760 mine was an old one. I can't imagine the new owner making compromises though, as they're the one making Two Rock.

I am on the fence about getting a D13. Which of the new ones is highest gain?
@@AntonioLopez-bc6qg I've only ever tried the BTR and that one doesn't have loads of gain.
In my experience, D13 amps are THE BEST. I have the RSA 23 and the FTR 37
@@thegreatriffs2552 yes, they're great! Although I think that Dr. Z amps are more my taste.
Try a Boss GE 7 eq pedal. It will get rid of the dark fingers. Lol
@@Hiline1970 it didn't really, but a Marshall plexi did 🙃
