Peter Warrick…….damn. Dude was as close to unstoppable as anyone could be. This entire team was just one giant All American. Janikowski, Tommy Polley, Travis Minor, Snoot Minnis, the WHOLE offensive line. Just unreal.
This was basically a playoff/play in game for the national title. From 95-00 Always played killer games that came down to the wire mostly too. With the winner of this game at least playing for the natty in 93,95,96,98,99,00! And FSU would’ve played in 97 had they won. Such a high stakes rivalry During that period. I miss when the big 3 Florida teams were annual natty contenders.
I would say without a doubt, the Florida-Florida State rivalry was probably the rivalry of the 1990s as most of the time, this game had national title implications for one or even both teams.
Back in the good old days when you could go undefeated and didn't have to worry about a bunch of nerds in a conference room of a Dallas Marriott screwing ya.
Two plays in that game Block punt and snap over the QB head was difference in that game plus FSU had a 39 year old QB😂😂 great game tho them games back then was fun to watch
That was one hell of a football team. I wish Tennessee hadn’t f*cked up against Florida on a stupid 4th down play call. I truly believe Florida State was the most talented team that year, but Tennessee was second and there should’ve been a rematch in the title.
Ya both Doug Johnson and him were top QB recruits in their recruiting class both fsu & Florida loaded up in state & nationally at top 5 level these days just before Miami got their head out of their butts till 2005 peach bowl & haven't been same besides old orange bowl home field advantage gone with half the stands empty lol
I remember watching this with my dad time flies miss ya dad watching packers and college football during these days was awesome

That is really cliche and stupid
Back when them Florida Miami recruited nationally & locally at elite level now UCF has had better last few years for most part since 2013

Still won’t forget their mulligan of 1996. We should have way more titles than we do
Great memories watching this even as Auburn fan both had top 5 recruiting classes during this era
Hell of a game. As a Florida I can admit they were
Better that year. Florida almost found a way to steal it but that fsu team was nasty.
Omg. Thank you for uploading this game. Been looking for this for a long time, man. Incredible.
Same here and I'm a Auburn fan
@@packersauburneric3625 I’m an OSU fan. I just like great football. No matter who’s playing. ‘99 was great.

After this game, FSU whipped Michael Vick and the hokies

How was this a catch??? @19:00
How the rules have changed. LOL.
Rivalry ain't ever gonna be this big again sadly
Great game

Ya this was the best Alabama team before damn Saban who beat former hyped recruit Jesse Palmer in the sec championship where he played awful

🔥
Florida state Seminole and Florida gators are both my college football teams and that is straight facts 💯
What's your opinion of Miami?
Gross dude. No real fan would be fans of arch rivals 😂
@@SortaRicannI root for LSU and most the sec except for Georgia unless I'm betting on them or Alabama
@@SortaRicannif Georgia and Alabama play i root bama surprisingly
@@packersauburneric3625 okay so you’re a bandwagoner. You lost me at “root for” 😭😭😭
Was kind of a bone head move by Spurrier to keep switching the QBs was obvious palmer was playing better

Jesse was a terrible qb...my lord
Him & Doug Johnson top QB recruits in their recruiting classes before 247 sports on 3 & rivals & ESPN heavily tracked it
