UPDATE: SAVE 20 MINS BY boosting straight to NY and making way to Haven. THEN, fast travel back to DC. You will be level 31 and save 20 mins by not having to level from 30 to 31 in DC. BUT if you go to NY you wont get access to projects (exotic cache).
Timestamp 7:50 --- Boost to 30: When going to "Add-ons" on PC the game freezes completely. You can however boost strait to 30 (and to Wony) at character creation as Tux stated above, OR you can go talk to the pilot in DC which will transport you to NY and boost you to lvl 30 (do NOT try to go directly to NY from DC via the map. It wont work). By the time you finish the intro in NY you'll be lvl31 and you can then travel back to DC. I tried both methods and neither gave me any projects apart from Decent. You are also limited to Hard-mode with no directives, but that might be always be the case. I cannot test this since I'm unable to open "add-ons" to boost to 30. (Edit: if you want to get power-leveled by a 40: The lvl 40 puts his game in hard without directives. Then invites you. Then he can change his game into challenge or heroic with directives) --- disclamer: all of this may change in the next patch ---
that's what i did, the missions even give 100k more xp than invaded missions so i just did all the ones that were quick an ez an the long missions i replaced with the quicker invaded missions. it's so nice seeing 12k pieces of candy to eat up lol. i didn't think about the projects but i was already broke and couldn't afford the donation project for the exotic anyways =]
Unfortunately the dz is most viable option for me... The coop XP for npc kill is bugged, only grants 270 xp before the update was 2400 xp...in Dz still works well...in 3 hours you can go from 31 to 40.
When you start a new mule, do the dcd headquarters mission with an already level 40 friend on invaded with all directives. Do the mission four times And you will be at level 40 in less than 1.25 hours. You could probably do it in 1 hour.

I ran Lincoln mem on heroic with all directives helping a friend do this and after 5 runs we discovered that we weren't getting all of the exp we were supposed to be getting ....took 7 runs.

Tux my man, love your video as always 💪 But if you boost your char to Wony, you level til 31 before you reach the settlement, which only takes 5-6 minutes. Then you’re level 31 and can buy gear from the two vendors there and then fly back to DC.
This works great! Thanks Tux! Though, DZ didn't work for me unfortunately, too many PVP peeps. But I had success doing the invaded missions on hard over and over. DCD Headquarters seems to be the fastest - takes about 12min each. And you need about 18 of them.
I got to level 40 in DC by going through all the steps you showed in the video, but the game didn't give me the watch. What is going on??? I also did a run on the NY DLC, but I didn't get the watch either for completing the DLC in the normal way. Very strange.
I finally got to expertise level 25 thanks to the DZ mule method. It takes me 3 to 4 hours because I get every loot I find, deconstruct and extract DZ resources. The DZ resources can't be claimed on your mule, otherwise you lose them
I hate so much how Tux calmy discusses reaching lvl 2000 Watch. Lets be super generous and say it takes 30 minutes to gain 1 watch Lvl. That's 1000 hours of play time. These guides are for people who literally have no other life outside of Division.
This is the problem only certain people want to do this grind it's not for everybody! I have two accounts, if you put in the time instead of playing other games, you will be at 1k in no time.
If you farm public executions on heroic with directives quickly and efficiently it’s not unrealistic to get 10 levels an hour. Every new season I do this and hit a hundred in two days
People who don't play at this pace don't even watch content on the game anyways. It's not a "must", play the game however you want and at whatever pace. Games like this always promote the most efficient ways of progression - that's what this genre is about.

Realistically, while the theoretical maximum storage is 900 +400mods, the practical comfortable maximum is 650 + 320mods. You need space to move items across characters without having to move other items out of the way to open a path. But that only works effectively until you get to 2000SHD, whereupon you might want to rerun wony. At that point you're going to wishyou didnt have a near full 4th character.
I have two mules, that have two level 40 builds and two level 30 builds. Seems like I no longer need the 30s now. So much for Max expertise level 30 gear.
Tux…… help me understand; why do you join characters resources at lvl 30? I’ve been working a mule for a while and stacking my resources allowing me to get 10’s of thousands of whatever on my shared characters……. So, normally I would (before the latest merge) start in NYC DLC, fill my stash with items like; named items for money, green gear for blue and green resources, and weapons for the other green ones. I would have about 110 item space in my stash, fill it with stated gear and weapons until I’ve sold the named for money and crushed everything else…… just enough to get by in the expansion, say, if I wanted to buy and reconfigure items along the way. Upon completion and getting my watch at lvl 40, I then use all my points to max out all resource categories and fill my money with at least 5mil credits to do it again. Then I go to DC and join resources which stacks amounts instead of maxes them according to their respective maxes. I’ve used some along the way but during that covid downtime, I was up to over 50,000 of all (9999) resources, to include both weapons parts and gear fabric from the initial crushing of loot and along the way, and over 10 G in the (999) categories. Am I misunderstanding your process at joining characters at 30?
Do you think for seasons 2.0 when we create a new seasonal character will it be our 5th character and we get another 150 stash spaces or do we have to delete an existing character to make room for it?
The fastest way I can level the last 10 levels is running Determined on sniper rifle with Vigilance on backpack and Headhunter on chest piece and just running hard level invaded missions. I can usually get through the last 10 level in about two-ish hours. DCD Headqauarters is a good one this week as it takes me about 4 min to run through it and it rewards 200k-400k experience for completion, depending which level you are at the moment.
just got back to the game and tried to make a mule. went from lvl31 to 32 really fast and didn't get all high end gear.. is it better to have only high end lvl31 gear or do you just boost the purple gear armor anyway?
Several aspects of this vid are patched out. It's wild that it was only 3 weeks ago and a ton of this doesnt even work anymore. Do people who did this at the time just flat out have a huge advantage now?
On the day you made the video you only saw one other agent in the DZ?......well, this video has been successful. I saw at least a dozen this afternoon. Had two join up with me. The Dark Zone is full of agents, all attempting to level up there mule agent. Only ONE went Rogue and we wiped his ass out. Great piece of work, Tux.

I’m finding the same. I even picked up the chameleon with the weekly SHD project so have been running that, but am only at lvl 34 2 hours in. Very comparable to WONY timings for me (I can complete those in 3-3.5 hrs solo) but at least it’s variety and I never go into the DZ normally.
@OG_Nomad5 I did another test, this time went from lvl 30 to lvl 31 in DC (per the vid), did the weekly SHD and grabbed the gear, then spent the whole time in DZ (again, per the vid) only doing landmarks and completed to lvl 40 in just under 4 hours.
If you have a couple buddies helping, they can find the quickest invaded missions that week, get to the end, invite you, let you shoot the boss and then finish him off to complete the mission and get the XP. Then you leave or join the other person helping. Can get someone (or three agents) to 40 in 15-30 minutes easy.
12:30 ...not to contradict, but CHC is super low and difficult to get above 50% on low level gear pieces, even with SMGs, so avoid the "Obliterate" chest talent until later on if you're set on running something like an AR, SMG or LMG. "Unbreakable" is good, "Headhunter" is solid (like Tux said). The headshot damage buff is still the same value at low levels as it is at level 40 for all weapon classes, so while it's super hard to get any real crit damage out of a build, you can pop headshots with a much less nerf from low level gear. Cheers!
...Tux may have meant "Intimidate" when he said "Obliterate". Which will work really well in a close range build if you're running Bloodsucker as well. Just make sure you getting that bonus armor (via Bloodsucker, Memento, etc), or it won't work very well at all.

Hi, i have problem with Division 2, when i login and start playing i do some black tusk missions, i capture some control points, but when i leave game, and log in again all my progress is gone, i keep the items, and level, but map and missions keep reseting. Please help me.
If you don’t have one of the items e.g. water, components, etc, I found that they don’t even display so I had to do a quick component run first and then it showed what I was missing (components in my case)
I just got to level 40 from my second character and my main character’s level didn’t carry over meaning I don’t have any scavenger points to spend on materials. 😢
Wait. So, my watch level is 327 or so. So, if I make a new character right now, that character will have a watch level of 327? Or at least 327 shd points that I can use on scavange?
Every character would have the points that the main character has. So along as you delete and repeat it will refash points. This is the whole reason why people say wait till max watch, I started about 800 watch level.

Doing the intro in Wony should get you from 30 to 31. Travel back to DC and do the invaded missions. Added bonus: this week the invaded missions reset each time due to a bug so you can do them over and over.
@@christianthurow Indeed. No projects (so no exotic cache) if you go to Haven first, but you gain +/- 20 min as you skip the DC-intro. On the other hand, my game stays at maximum "hard" level. I cant join people in challenge or heroic mode, but maybe that's always the case until you reach 40.
i dislike the DZ but i have seen that at level 30 you are basically free range in there with tops like 5 other players on a busy day. and if i can level 40 a mule in 2-3 hours vs 4-5 I'm all for it.
Make sure you don’t go to NY first as you miss out on projects that way, level up to 30 in DC and complete the two cut scenes in the White House (upstairs then quartermaster) then the projects should appear.

is it possible they disabled this method? when i open store-addons, i only get black screen, all other tabs working normal tho. Also, opening the Store from main menu just blacks out and only way out is alt+F4

Creat hardware with whatever chest and backpack. At 30 it will easily take u to 40. Chang guns as needed. No need to over Complicate Things

Hi, i have problem with Division 2, when i login and start playing i do some black tusk missions, i capture some control points, but when i leave game, and log in again all my progress is gone, i keep the items, and level, but map and missions keep reseting. Please help me.
It’s a current bug since the latest update, will probably be resolved during the next maintenance outage … maybe. 😅
How do you access Countdown? The Pilot only offers Manning, Camp White Oak, Kenly College, Pentagon, and Coney Island.
With the main character he said. To get items and to place at the stash. Then to sell with the mule.
But don't you need to complete NY to get the watch still from keener so why waste time playing in DC leveling up when you have to get the watch in NY

you can go all tank build and extract gear from DZ.

I started my character and it won't let me finish the SHD donation project
If you don’t have one of the items e.g. water, components, etc, I found that they don’t even display so I had to do a quick component run first and then it showed what I was missing (components in my case)
I can`t get into the add-ons section. pops some message for a spit second and the blank screen

Maybe I'm missing something, but my new mule doesn't have access to the Weekly SHD Requisition project....
If you went to NY first, then it doesn’t reveal projects. 🤷

I just got to level 40 from my second character and my main character’s level didn’t carry over meaning I don’t have any scavenger points to spend on materials. 😢

You'll have to travel back to New York, then all your points should be on your toon for resources..

So, my watch level is 327 or so.
So, if I make a new character right now, that character will have a watch level of 327? Or at least 327 shd points that I can use on scavange?
Not until you fully max out all the attributes on the watch
Every character would have the points that the main character has. So along as you delete and repeat it will refash points. This is the whole reason why people say wait till max watch, I started about 800 watch level.

Any idea why my character doesn't have any projects except the weekly decent? So, getting the lvl 31 exptic is not possible in my game.

Doing the intro in Wony should get you from 30 to 31. Travel back to DC and do the invaded missions.
Added bonus: this week the invaded missions reset each time due to a bug so you can do them over and over.
@@AlfaStation1 I had the same issue today when I boosted the new character to NY. If you stay in DC it apparently opens up the projects though.
@@christianthurow Indeed. No projects (so no exotic cache) if you go to Haven first, but you gain +/- 20 min as you skip the DC-intro. On the other hand, my game stays at maximum "hard" level. I cant join people in challenge or heroic mode, but maybe that's always the case until you reach 40.
i dislike the DZ but i have seen that at level 30 you are basically free range in there with tops like 5 other players on a busy day. and if i can level 40 a mule in 2-3 hours vs 4-5 I'm all for it.

Make sure you don’t go to NY first as you miss out on projects that way, level up to 30 in DC and complete the two cut scenes in the White House (upstairs then quartermaster) then the projects should appear.
Hi. How did you get the projects to be available at level 31. Do they only appear if playing solo. Playing with a clan member and the only one available is Descent. Thanks

is it possible they disabled this method? when i open store-addons, i only get black screen, all other tabs working normal tho. Also, opening the Store from main menu just blacks out and only way out is alt+F4
I don’t think so. If bugged, just go to nyc boost, make to haven, the fast travel back to DC right away.

You trying to hard. Lvl 30-40 all you need is an LMG with Strained on it and a drone. Everything is easy work after that.
I don't understand. How do you get the scavenging points for all of your characters? I thought they were given only for the mule.
