We have a fresh tree every year and I always give them very warm water. I’m glad to hear you say the same. They really suck up a lot of water in that first 36 hours.
Watering tip, get a length of Pvc pipe about three to four feet in length, and a funnel. Cut the smaller end of the funnel off and glue to one end of the pvc pipe. Then when you need to water the tree you can insert the pvc pipe down into the tree stand water it. No need to get down on your hands and knees to water your tree.
If this doesn’t show your love for all of your Christmateers, then nothing could. Putting your allergies aside is a phenomenal sacrifice. That’s just one of the many reasons we love you, your deigns, your humor, and your wit. ❤
Team real tree here! Thanks for the video, I find ribboning a real tree tough, and this helped a lot. I have a lifetime of ornaments on my tree, all with a story and memories ,so while it isn't a "designer" tree per se, I still want the WOW factor. I love watching your videos.
Thank you for taking one for the live tree team! ❤ The stars are sooooo pretty and unexpected. My #1 most fav Jeanna Loves Christmas tree tip - *ANYTHING* can be an ornament.
I used to do a real tree…Jeanna I watched this video because I love the way you describe what you are doing. So much enthusiasm and I love your verbiage.
You are SO SWEET to answer your viewers questions with this video!!! I'm also not a live tree in the house person, due to allergies, but there are a lot of people who can really use this vital information! Thanks for addressing the part about the fresh cut and watering the tree - nobody needs a dried out fire hazard at Christmas time! Love that you care so much!!! ❤❤❤
That plastic drop cloth under the tree would come in handy for collecting dropped needles while decorating and while undecorating. Genius! Love your videos!
Love that you took one for the team. I'm also allergic to everything pine except white pine and that's because it supposedly doesn't grow in SC. Your tree is gorgeous. Thank you again 🎄🤗🎄💓💕💞
Thank you for making this and battling your allergies to do so. Unfortunately I found it a day after I decorated my real tree, (LOL) but definitely took notes for next year. You're the best Jeanna!!
I've just used what I learned from you the past 2 years to decorate my live tree in the living room and the artificial in the dining room and kitchen ❤, I never even thought about putting plastic down under the tree before 🤦♀️ my floor did get ruined last year but we are planning on replacing it anyway. Useful information thank you so much. Oh and the hot water, who knew 🤷♀️
Hey Jeanna!!! Jill here!!! I have a question for you?? This year I put some ball garland on my tree. Can I also add ribbon as well. Do you think that is overkill? Last year I watched you and followed your ribbon steps. OMGOSH!!! I had so many compliments. Than you!!
I don't like your Christmas tree setting, but I LOVE the principles you show and your explanations. With these, one can apply just any color scheme. Thanks so much! I love real trees and haven't seen good tutorials on them, and yours is a great one! Also, you promote it and show how it can be set up in the same way. Plastic trees are handy, but are not sustainable, it is a false promotion that producers advertised to convince people of buying the plastic trees. Nowadays plantations are set up in the way, that the real forests would not suffer. But the millions produced plastic trees each year are using much more ressources and bringing more damage to the nature, than cutting a real tree and growing a new one for the next year.
Merry Christmas!! As I mentioned, I’m allergic so I will do what’s best for me and my health and I was happy to feel bad for a few days and decorate this tree in my studio for the sake of a tutorial. Thank you for telling me you didn’t like it 😂 that made it all feel worth it. I’m glad you got some useful info.
OH JEANNA! Its SO BEAUTIFUL! Im so sorry! I had no idea you are allergic to real trees. I would have NEVER asked for you to demo a real tree if I had known. Bless you for powering through. I learned a-lot though. Thank you.
