- We are almost at the end of this month and here comes a villain that was announced back in August when Gold Toothed Doctor came out. Here is the first real Villain of FMA, the homunculus Pride and his shadows. The design and the idea are very beautiful and the power intrigues me. A great villain that represents his name well!
See you over the weekend with a skilled assassin and then with a crazy Curse for Halloween!

If a humonculos was defeated by a hero, it represented overcoming their sin. If a humonculos was defeated by a villain, it represented falling to that sin. Pride was different. Pride was defeated by an act of pride.

Pride defeated himself if you think about it. He was too cocky to leave when Gluttony suggested a retreat. This led to him eating Gluttony and getting his hunger. He then was too arrogant and let his guard down around Al. This led to him getting captured. His hunger led to him eating Kimbley, who ultimately ended up being the one that helped in his defeat. Pride before the fall is so true with him.

Great Tribute. Pride was my favorite sin and I like how his powers were a combination of all the other sins. Fast a Sloth, can change shape like Envy, sharp as Lust, can devour people like Gluttony, an incredible sheild luke Greed, and had expanded sight and reflexes like Wrath. Truly the root of all sin.

Between the Selim reveal and just how much work went into beating this threat alone, Pride easily cemented himself as one of the best villains in one pf the best animes of all time.
Great video! Pride is my second favorite villain in FMBA and he is really one of the cool villains with very interesting abilities. The song is amazing!
That was awesome! There was never a dull moment on screen, you always showcased Pride's insidious nature, and capped things off with a cathartic ending. Awesome work Arkham!

I wonder if FMAB would be coming out now if the reveal for Pride would be less surprising considering the whole looks like a sweat child but is in reality some super deadly monster has been used so many times

Pride was a really cool suprise if you first watched the other Full Metal Alchemist Anime and how they did his shadow in the Anime looks so cool. The song fits like his own shadow really cool Video through youre Videos i added some of the last songs to my collection maybe this one also.

If I had a nickel for every time the sin of pride was the strongest of the sins in an anime I’d have two nickel which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
But seriously Pride in FMAB was a straight up menace. Can’t wait for the other Homunculus to enter the Asylum.
It's not weird. Pride is considered to be origin sin and worst of deadly sins in Christianity and related religions.

A wonderful video sequence, and a well-chosen track.
However, cutting out pieces of the track as at 1.10-1.15 greatly spoils the impression. Especially with repeated listening. It's not the first time I've noticed that you do this and it always sounds bad and spoils the impression. Please don't do this or really bring together pieces of tracks (yes, it's difficult and takes a lot of time and knowledge, well, that's why tracks are usually not shredded).

For your consideration, here are some anime villains that are perfect+villainous for the Asylum: Majima(Lycoris Recoil), Ibara(Dr. Stone), and Mary Sue/Sioux(The Saga of Tanya the Evil).😈🎶👍

Though, shadows are often considered Pride's ability, it's just his real body (don't confuse with "true" body).
As for his actual "homunculus ability" it's basically All For One but with drawback. When Pride absorbs somebody, he gains their traits, both positive and negative.
When Pride absorbed Gluttony he gained his sense of smells, but also gained sense of hunger (it is possible that he also gained False Gates, but as much as I know it's neither confirmed nor disproved by author).
From Kimblee he got ability to use alchemy, and from Gold Tooth he got knowledge of human transmutation.
And this on top of that Pride's shadows combine lesser versions of abilities of all other homunculi:
• Pride can see with eyes on shadows, effectively enhancing his vision (Wrath);
• Shadows are tough enough to withstand most physical hits, e.g. stopping Alphonse's sword slash (Greed);
• Shadows are able to change form and size freely, but still remain same color (Envy);
• His shadows can cut through most materials, e.g. Pride piercing Alphonse's helmet, rock walls, e.t.c., with ease (Lust);
• As stated above, Pride can consume others, adding their souls to his philosopher's stone (Gluttony);
• And finally, his shadows are fast. Fast enough to turn driving at full speed jeep into cabriolet (Sloth).
Though, Selim is one of most OP villains (considering their respective verse power level), he is so often overlooked because "look at this badass dude with swords".
