Willem Dafoe deserved the Oscar WIN for The Shadow of the Vampire, it was a good movie but an absolute banger of a performance which was unique af too.
Ngl I sort of wish you'd gotten Bill to actually do a bit of Orlock's voice in the interview... b/c I'm still in complete disbelief that that insane voice came out of Bill's mouth. Lol esp when he's so soft spoken and lovely in this interview--what a chameleon of an actor he is!
I definitely wanted him to do it, but I always feel uncomfortable asking someone to do it -- he didn't volunteer it, so I didn't want to ask him to "act" for me, you know?
@@JakesTakesTV It would also be a spoiler since they kinda made a big deal out of it in the marketing and the film hasn't come out yet in most territories. Honestly should be the primary reason for not asking IMO. He ended up doing it anyway at 06:20.
Haha of course you’re always incredibly respectful of your guests, Jake… it’s understandable that no actor wants to be interviewed by someone who treats them like a performing monkey! I still simply cannot believe that’s Bill actually doing the voice after hearing him in this interview. Hopefully, they release clips of behind the scenes footage re Bill developing the voice with a voice coach, doing ADR work, and the influences he drew inspiration from for it… the process re finding that would be fascinating viewing!

He also got an Oscar-nomination for that role!
@@robertmortimer8288 sorry, corrected it.
This just put another level of scary on Bill's checklist. In terms of him being "IT" in two films and now this. He's just perfect for these roles.
Dafoe is such a gentleman about expressing how much he doesn't like these questions.
Where does he say that? Just want to avoid watching the whole thing just to find the timestamp
Very excited to watch this but ill come back after ive seen the movie
The original film in some ways is an unofficial knockoff, which is funny to me. It's like in a hundred years they remake Transmorphers.

Thanks for the reply! Never heard a ‘good morning’ greeting sound as creepy as that before. 😳🤣
What creates more revenue for the pod? UA-cam or Spotify? I'll do whatever's best
Wherever you listen is great! Ty for the support.
Vampires popular since 2004
Why are all these interviews spoiling things from the movies?
😁😁😁
gothic fable
Please stop with that dumb question of “what would you ask blah blah if you were sat next to blah blah”
I like it, so I don’t think I will :)
Lame, move on…
Yet you still gave the video a view. Great work!
