30th April 2020 is Captain Tom’s one hundredth birthday.
He has inspired me - inspired the country and indeed inspired
the whole world
His spirit is so similar to that of my dad who served in WW2
from 1939 until 1946. He left England before I was born to fight
in North Africa and then Burma so I did not meet him until 1946
when I was five. Until he passed away at the age of 92 he had
always been my hero.
This film started out as “Captain Tom” but UA-cam could not
publish it because it contained a 10 minute clip from Good
Morning Britain which was protected from use by others by
a world- wide copyright block. So Take Two was made with a
suitable replacement.Sky News Australia came to the rescue.
It is important, however, to watch the disputed clip and on my
UA-cam post the link to it can be found at comment one.
If I post it anywhere on facebook I shall also post the link as
comment one on that as well. "There are more ways than one
to skin a cat." I shall post both films to Captain Tom as DVDs
as a birthday present.
