USE UA-cam QUALITY OF 2160HD TO WATCH 30th April 2020 is Captain Tom’s one hundredth birthday. He has inspired me - inspired the country and indeed inspired the whole world His spirit is so similar to that of my dad who served in WW2 from 1939 until 1946. He left England before I was born to fight in North Africa and then Burma so I did not meet him until 1946 when I was five. Until he passed a...

Thank you all for listening to Dave’s song. He love his country and his countrymen with passion. Just to let you know he was diagnosed of MND(Motor Neurone Disease) in March 16, 2023 and passed away in October 22, 2023 just a little over seven months from diagnosis. He lives in our hearts and will always be remembered forever. Thank you all for your appreciation of his song. Bebby Harding Molly Harding (Wife & Daughter)
This is the second time I've watched this, looking back in 1988, newlodge was out of bounds for months for some reason. We were told we're going back in patrolling, you should have seen the look on the civilians faces when we tipped up. I jokenly said cheerfully to one of them "Good morning" and I got the dirtiest look I ever had from that patrol.
The north of Ireland was the biggest training ground for the political Master s of the british the last collinly
In spite of national service being abolished britain still Able to fight a war in asia!
Rest in Peace Soldier.
Sectarianism in Ireland was always a British strategy rather than an Irish malady.
the movie sinking of lisbon maru released this month and ranked 9.2/10

We have been let down by all governments and Blairs government was the main one.
As a Veteran who served 3 Tours in NIrelandbetween July 72 and Febuary 1975 ,in the following, ArDoyne Flax St Milll attached to 1LI Palace Barracks aspart of The RCT Squadron and finally at 39 InfantryBigade HQ&SIGNAL Squadron Commanders Escort Group August 1974 a d Febuary1975 plusatour of fduty with TheUN Oeacekeeping force in Cyprus. In1974 I only spent 4 weeks in my units home base a case have kitbag willtravel Such was the life of a RCT DRIVER with8 Squadron 4 to 6 moths in Cyprus one year and a Op Banner tour just 3 months later wit 39 brigade MY Parent unit followed me to NI 2months laterNo considerationfor family live .
At 11:30 the Harrier is landing on the grass strip at Holdfast Camp. In 1984 I spent 6 months in Holdfast, looks like there was some development between the filming in 77 and my stay. I did enjoy those 6 months. 🟩
❤ love this! Worked with them in NI. Cracking regiment.
My dad had Brown's Centa Market shop on Willington st, we also had shops in Parkwood and Larksfield. Also cafe in Moat park.
How tragic the Republic of Ireland remains ruled by foreigners via EU papal empire . A new Ireland is needed . An Ireland free from London and free from eu / Vatican . An ulster with devolved government acknowledging its unique independent region of the island with its ancient links to Scotland and the north of England . It’s people it’s culture its religion of Patrick the evangelist. All unique to ulster .
Ireland was a pagan nation
We will NEVER know the truth if Bloody Sunday ever . Tony Blair gave it as sop to appease IRA killers . Who murdered more innocent Roman Catholics and Irish Protestants than ALL other terrorist groups combined . Fact . I’m sick of the self serving self righteous hypocrisy of those who support terrorist on either side .
Shows it is dated, berets being worn correctly 🤓
Did my training there in 1969, loved the place. Posted to Gibraltar after my training joined 3 RRF
wankers
How come they conveniently missed out the Royal Pioneers, they done their training with them. Or aren't they not glamorous enough. Rhine Platoon August - December 1986.
Not at all @iLoveBeingDelusional4U. I put this film together but I know little about the place. Only went there once when I was stationed near to it to visit my pal who was the RQMS. As far as I know when it first opened it was only for Quee's - Royal Anglians and RRF who had been formed into a Divisional Depot which allowed their Regimental Depots to close down. I put this together later when the Royal Pioneerswere full members and put that in the intro. Best wishes Bob - 2 Queen's - 1RRF abd 3RRF 1958 until 1984. ua-cam.com/video/CiDrTYV-DC4/v-deo.html
The last parade 20 Aug 2012 Bassingbourn Barracks has hosted its last-ever passing out parade. The base has been home to the Army Training Regiment since the early 90s. Before that, it had a history as a base for bombers, including Canberras and the Memphis Belle during the Second World War. The MOD is still deciding what to do with the base, and it could close completely next year. ua-cam.com/video/vftIy00mYso/v-deo.html

Well - made 8mm movie, very good camerawork and composition with no ‘hose-piping’!
Pure shite , the Brit’s do not want to leave Ireland, even in death they find a British agent woman to lie for them Robert the poor oul lad should have stayed in England, he had no business in Armagh
neither has migrants Dublin is becoming islamic centre but oh the boys are no were about.
Load of shitee , terrible actress
This was very interesting I served in forkhill in south armagh
My Father stay there.
Dont forget it was the women on the Falls road who welcomed the British army into West Belfast with cups of tea.
Every death is sad really sad as is a life spent under British occupation. Go home Britain stop sending your sons and daughters into other peoples lands with guns it has NEVER ended well .
Describe how sad life is for you under so called British occupation. And how do you explain the fact that Republicans have killed more Irish people than all the rest put together. When Republicans are involved, it has definitely never ended well for all.
ononewheellad Well said. Ignore the millenial twat. Sadly...that generation are so full of morals yet have not a scrap of expeience.
Crazy times.
Aber schönes zeigen nicht grüseliges bitte
Hallo zeigen sie ganze Deutschland werl
These lads will be late 60s now 🇬🇧🏴
My uncle was in 10 para(reserves) but did a tour of Afghanistan with 2 para mortars. He is still with me to this day and someone I look up to so greatly.🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Well it wasn't the six innocent men the English law law enforcement used as a scapegoats cause they were too lazy to investigate properly
Great video. I was born in maidstone in 1964😂
I was born in Belfast in 1971, my dad was Director of Medical Illustration at the Royal Victoria Hospital; he employed on merit without any sectarian bias. Catholics couldn't get a job in H&W in 1971 but they could at the RVH because of my old lad and men like him. Proper order.
I remember joking with Dane about being born in Zimbabwe etc.... Good men. Should all be here.......
Done five tours there, we didn't care about the politics behind it, to be honest. We were just a buffer between two groups trying to kill each other and one side finding ways of killing us.
The British empire have done it for centuries divide and conquer, create division between the two sides and let them kill eachother.....
@@jackietreehorn5561You clearly don't know the history behind it all.. Maybe read up on the situation.
Ahhhhh...Alan Barry...the same Alan i caught wearing medals he wasnt entitled to wear....namely the Iraq construction medal..awarded to those contracted to work for the British foreign commonwealth office..the medal was not eligible for subcontractors but he felt the need to wear one anyway
brit arny=murdering bastards.
British Justice. huh?
Great video, I used to go downtown every week and do the shopping for my mum. The town was thriving back then, so many people, it was packed on the weekend. Great memories of the past but unfortunately times have changed a lot and the town has now become a ghost town with shops closing down every week. Thanks for the video and the good old memories.
