+Jacob Orr Mainly the ones where he jumped multiple times in a row. For example the part at 1:50 - 1:56. He might have gunboats on since he did not use shotgun in that fight. 2:20 - 2:30 is another good part. Usually when I try to do like 1-3 Rocketjumps in a row or in short period of time I am left with almost no hp. Which means in the next fight I might be taken out in couple hits.
+XAntssX kk The short answer to your question is this then: Gunboats and Buffs from the med. Longer answer: At 1:50-1:56 he's doing a sequence of jumps that's called the fast rollout for Process. Seagull was definitely wearing gunboats in that clip (and is doing so for all of the clips of him playing roaming soldier for Mixup). When executed the way shown in the clip, that sequence of jumps will do roughly ~110 damage to you from start to finish (+another ~30 damage from fall damage if you land on grass) when done with gunboats. Also, it's a little hard to see due to the sped up effect but I'm 99% sure Harbleu buffed Seagull to 300 health while he was still in spawn @ 1:49 and then healed him again while he was in rollout @ 1:51. By the time he lands in front of the demo @ 1:55 he's probably around 150 health or so. Which, to be fair, is still a very risky amount to be at and something he only did with the foreknowledge of the enemy team's positioning. As for, 2:20, well, I only count two actual rocket jumps (left wall jumps @ 2:23 & 2:29). Again, he was using gunboats though so the wall jumps probably only did ~20 damage a piece. From what I see he didn't actually take any damage from the enemy team either, because the angle and timing of his first jump caught them by complete surprise and the second jump was just him getting closer to focus fire a single caught-out soldier.
Jacob Orr Damn dude I really appreciate the long response and taking your time to explain it in detail. I don't know enough of rocket jumping so I was wondering, does the rocket do different damage depending where or how you shoot it before the jump? I only know the basic jump where you turn right and look almost behind you before crouching and shooting.
+XAntssX Self-damage from RJing is definitely dependent on distance between your character and the rocket (along with the amount of momentum you get off a given rocket jump). You can test this out by jumping off a wall from the same spot several times and taking note of the explosion marks and how much health you lose from each jump. If you're curious about different jumping techniques, there's an old but still informative-ish video (watch?v=bkqrRY4SZzY) that covers a good number of the different jumps you can do in TF2. Source Engine physics can be weird, so it's kind of difficult to recognize all the nuances to jumping just by watching it. Good example is at 1:53 during the Process Rollout, Seagull is actually preserving the speed he got from the previous two jumps by holding spacebar for and gliding up the ramp for a split-second until he shoots another rocket and adds vertical momentum while retaining all the horizontal momentum from the wall and skip jumps, effectively launching himself across the mid point and letting him land anywhere on the map's mid.
Man, the last one was beautiful.
If you can't appreciate Seagull clips, you don't like competitive tf2.
I don't care where you're from, or who you've played with. Seagull is one scary roamer.
Indeed. He had the same reputation in HL2DM.
Now in overwatch
hahaha Lol probably

1:24 I remember that shit lol. That was just amazing... it's sad he left tf2 after all the fear he brought to invite.
Is there a video of the whole match when that happened?

I think Beater (aka Danishactionhero) still has the full STV if you want to ask him for it.

Sorry for a late question, but how does He not take much damage from rocket jumping that many times?
+XAntssX Which jumps are you curious about, specifically?
