I just got this mouse, and the setting that i applied werent working. Went to the system settings and notice its still needed to update. Once it finished downloading (restart) my mouse is not responding to any clicks. I can move the mouse around but thats pretty much it.
I hate this mouse. This is the best ergonomic design bar none. And the worst implementation from tracking and material point of view. The tracking is suitable for Windows, because the interface is bigger and clunky. If you work on macOS, you don't have the software for multiple button combos. On Windows, you can do more with X mouse free software. For macOS, ambidextrous trackball is a safe way. Avoid Kensington Orbit Fusion. A regular Orbit or one of the bigger models will serve you fine.
@@otfocus Actually, for the record and eventually helping someone, I found the solution for macOS. Steer Mouse software. Makes all the difference for pointer control and even has combinations for the buttons. I moved to Kensington Expert trackball:)
i have the same problem on macOS. The software and tracking is SO GLITCHY. It is really unfortunate because the mouse is otherwise very good. So ANNOYING!
@@lcrooks69 Since I made this comment, I found a solution for the problem. The software driver by the name SteerMouse. It changes all of the above complaints, aside the low quality materials. But it gives you a total control trough movement curve. When you install it, go to best shared settings for your device and load.
This is probably one of the worst mice I've ever used. Absolutely terrible. For some reason it has a smooth body that makes it slippery in my grasp. As a result it slides in my hand so my fingers aren't over the dipped part of the buttons. This results in me pressing the DPI button, which means the tracking speed is constantly changing. The default settings are also horrendous, I would with any other mouse right click with my middle finger, but on this mouse you right click with the ring finger. You can only change this via their drivers, and I can't install drivers on customer's devices so I'm stuck with having to right click with different fingers depending which mouse I'm using. I also find the angle too vertical. If I place my hand naturally then this is actually twisting my wrist but in the opposite direction to a traditional mouse. So yes - absolutely terrible mouse, would advise no one to bother getting one.
Sorry about your experience. I mostly got annoyed because vertical mice are more difficult to use. I wonder if you’d have this issue with Logitech, but I’ve heard bad things about that one too (Poor grip). That’s why I put this one at the higher end of vertical mice. I’ll take this in consideration next time I review a mouse. Hope you find something better. I’m currently using the Mx master.
Whats the difference between the Evoluent D and Evoluent 4?
Ooh. I’m not sure
My application is document editing. I am curious just how you can program the Evoluent; my current Logitech G502 gaming mouse can program a sentence.

Oh dang. I didn’t have any issues with mine.
I also like the shape of the Evoluent but the shiny slick surfaces always feel greasy/slimy to me.
Yeah that’s definitely another con

Thanks for sharing. I think the design is good, but it's not practical for most people and it takes a long time to adjust.
