I've been watching each episode of season 1 of this absolutely fantastic show, (with exception of episode 5 which isn't here🙂), & there's one thing that keeps coming to mind......Why did this show only have one season?!!!!!!. This was a terrific show!
See, it's like this : A) It's a women centric show. A little more cerebral and thought driven. Less car crashes, less gun chases. B) There would be a contract with the author's publisher, about which books and plot lines could be used. Remember, Patterson wrote only so many books in the series. It could have been meant as a limited series to begin with. It could have been handled differently. For example, check out the Midsomer Murder series. Years ago I read the hand full of books in the series and enjoyed them. Well, some British producers bought the TV rights. With the right to create more scripts. So, 22 seasons later..... I still LOVE it. C) The money. The accountants look at how much it takes to make the show, and what profit comes in. The bean counters could have studied the numbers and come up short. And that would be that, unfortunately.
There was a writer's strike and thos was o e of the casualties. It and many other good shows did not come back after the settlement. Actually a lot of the scripted shows were replaced with those God-awful reality shows.
I never heard of it on books and t.v. shows only I have been scanning Good police and laws and orders t.v. shows and detective shows and Sherlock Holmes Cumberbatch London shows but they are still all less than 10 minutes long video on UA-cam channel.
There are so many people in the show that have reoccurring different roles in Rizzoli, and isles like the last episode of the man that was on death row was an uncle to a man who was importing drugs for a Chinese couple on Rizzoli and Isles, Detective Lindsay, her ex-husband, the boss on this show His fiancé on the show was a nurse on Rizzoli and isles who murdered a woman to try to get the baby out of her
🤯OK...I have to say it.. ONLY ONE SEASON OF THIS WONDERFUL SHOW.. and we end up with the drivel that we have now IS JUST WRONG🤬!!! THANK YOU for sharing this short but entertaining series with us💞 Podium speech over...On to next episode💫🤗
Really good series. I wish they continued producing many more series on this womens murder club continually. I've watched this episode and others on WMC so many times. It's really good and the cast too, all of them men and women.
The show is way better than the book series yet it got canceled. It was a decade of some real fierce competition on TV. This show is one of its victims.

I just don't want what it was it been so long ago . The same name on each American States Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada and New York and Florida .
I am not sure when this series aired but as they have only now reached book 16 in the series part of the problem may have been that James Patterson did not want any more made as this may have affected the stories he still had to write. I note that the ADA has changed nationality from the book.

I know it's wee bit girlie but it has a strong cast, excellent actor 'chemistry', pretty decent plotting(with a good human face) and overall it WORKS... It baffles me that they pulled the plug after 1 series
It's amazing that how society thinks that women who dated the same person can't be friends, 😊 they even feel awkward bc their relationship is More than the guy it ain't about him. Weirdly life is deep
I would like to reiterate The comments below. Could you please post episode five of this terrific series! I think the reason the show only went one season is because I don’t think it got enough ratings based on what station it was on. I find it to be excellent! I also have been watching it on Tubi. Normally I do not watch shows that are based on books, but this one was so well done thumbs up James and Maxine!
My top best and beautiful actresses are I like is Angie Harmon, Ceity Lotz &Jess McCall an CLexa the Alicia Debnam Carey and Eliza Taylor, Taylor Schilling, Charlotte Sullivan,Emily Goss, And the beautiful princes the Xena Lucy lawless.
I had to stop reading these books, they are very emotion pulling. Couldn't deal with it. Its funny the rizzoli and isles series: books and TV show are less disturbing.

It aired Oct 2007 to May 2008; they had planned a season 2 but ratings were low so they scratched the show and in 2010 R&I was born
