    I feel like I’m still asleep in a dream but I’m awake…this came on me really badly today whilst grounding and trying to relax and it got me so anxious and afraid I ran home and I don’t feel safe in myself at all

    Your past video on DP/DR and existential anxiety really helped me. It’s crazy I have never experienced this before. I recovered within a week but those thoughts still linger at times. Thanks again.

      @@jadenhenderson4506 hello, I went outside and walked around my neighborhood and did some meditation. It just went away on its on because I calmed my body. Within that week it was gone. I was able to cry again and feel my parents presence etc. I am part of the world now (if that makes sense). But walking around the house helped and mediation. Playing games helped too. Walking outside will make your mind know that people/things are not a threat. I know some people, with DP/DR, said reality/outside environment was frightening to them. That is why I went outside during those times. The crazy part is almost couldn’t watch television because of this. It’s crazy how “everything” could be a threat in the environment while you are under this DP/DR. Hope this helps you 🙏🏾✨.

    I want to give up. Not only do I have dpdr. But I’ve been feeling these horrible symptoms in my head that are physical, and the back of my throat. And I feel like I’m floating at times, or feeling like I’m going to start falling any second and feel so much pain/discomfort. I guess it never happens but it never stops pestering me. Maybe worrying about these symptoms causes more dpdr

    Hello Robin. This tool is really helpful.
    I have to ask, I don't usually fight my thoughts but I don't know how to accept them either. So whenever I get a negative thought it makes me sad and ruins my day. Can you make a video about how to accept the thought and reality as it is?

    thank you so much for your videos they’ve been helping through the scariest experience of my life. my existential anxiety has kind of subsided but now it’s turned into a depression. Is this how the recovery process goes? I’m not sure what to expect or do at this point

    • @robinschindelka2117
      @robinschindelka2117  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Sam ❤️ good to hear that you are finding help in my videos and feeling a little better. I'm not sure in your case why it's turning into depression. Often the resistance to existence as it is can out itself in either fear (it's dangerous) or dread (it's hopeless). The Origin of both emotions are the same: resistance. So I don't really think it's part of the recovery process per se. It also could be that your anxiety came from trauma, and that now you're over the fear some sadness of past related things subconsciously are coming up. Not sure though as I don't know your situation exactly. Good luck ❤️

      @@robinschindelka2117 thank you for your response, I’ve realized that it’s still anxiety - I’m just confusing the symptom of hopelessness with depression. But the anxiety is slowly dissipating with therapy, meds, and my own work. And the moments of hopelessness come here and there but I do still have hope that it’s temporary because of your story and other stories as well. I really admire you for helping people with this, thank you❤️

      @@crystal_vvave9045 okay…so maybe it’s a good sign that I’m in the process of recovering. I’ve been doing okay, therapy and medication is really helping me, but my brain seems to still be trying to convince me that I need to figure these questions out. and the concept of life still feels fake to me. Idk how else to explain it. Thanks for asking. Have u experienced this before?

      @@samg6246 no i havent really experenced the let down effect but i learnt about it in one of the anxiety facebook groups. Do you mean questions about existence? I have them. Actually got confused about my own existence when reading philosophy and thinking about it. It is hard to brush it off because i always remember this feeling. And im confised because i didnt have a panic attack but still feel weird
