WOW... As a person who owns and can use a Walking Wheel, I recognize SKILL when i see it. That is some incredibly even spinning. I'm Impressed. Sure thats easy on a Castle wheel with adjustable tensioners and a flyer. Not so easy on an early Walking Wheel. But you've not only done it, you made it look easy!! (I know it isn't) Well Done!!
It looks like she is worsted spinning from a roving. I have always woolen spun yarn from a rolag on a walking wheel. Does anyone know what staple length of wool is being used here?
I LOVE this video...I have watched it a MILLION times. I am a new owner of a great wheel (or maybe it owns me) and this is my spinning goal on this video. What is the music? It goes round and round in my head...
Since that spindle stays on there, how do you get the thread off of there, and what do you put it on? Wondering because I just bought one really cheap.
