"Are you calling me selfish ?"
"Are you calling you people ?"
What a genius , Joey 😅😁👏
Yeah, evil genius 😀
Chandler: 🙄
What does he meant by "Are you calling you people?" Thanks to anyone who can explain 🙏☺️
B
@@IslanderloverBKK he didn't call her directly that she is sellfish he said all people are. So when she ask directly if he considered her sellfish joey avoided to give a personal answer by asking her if she considered herself as people. Because he already said all people are sellfish
Chandler's reaction during the conversation between Joey and Phoebe 😂😂
ikr 🤣🤣😂
He's like "I'm surrounded by idiots"

Joey was a philosopher in that episode.
Yeah, a moralistic philosopher.

When Ross walked Carol down the aisled, the woman who cheated on him to marry her lover who is always belittling him, I think that was a selfless good deed. I mean, I don't think he felt good by doing that
Wo you are a genius
He felt (a good man) which is a good feeling...
Being mature = feels good
Yeah he will feel good , when he sees this comment
Duh!
I hated Carol and Susan. They were absolutely horrible!
So joey defeated phoebe in debate while ross couldn't😂😂😂
Ross was right, but an intelligent person should not waste time arguing with an ignorant. Joey and Phoebe are on more even ground.
@@barbyzz22 oohh...so true it is....
@@barbyzz22 oh my word🙄
@@barbyzz22 No Phebe was right, until proved otherwise. Which he could not.
@@griffydz1789 she literally wasn't? The reason she could not proven to be wrong was because you need two rational parties to have a rational discussion. Phoebe is far from that, her brain is the same as a child's (and not in a cool way). Ross has better things to do with his time than arguing with someone like her.
Meanwhile, Chandler getting possessed by spirits from the netherworld.
Lmao
😂😂😂
😂lmao 🤦
Okay I may be missing something
It is amazing how Phoebe pinned down Ross on evolution (his area of expertise) and Joey pinned down Phoebe on good deeds (where she is good at)
@@alfa-psi I sincerely regret the grammatical error I made on the comment. Thank you for pointing it out. :-)

Next: Gunther and Joey go out to pick up girls and Joey gets left alone while Gunther gets all the good stuff 😂
1:50 chandler's face kills me
Chandler is literally my mood when I hear 90% of the people I know speak. 😂😂😂😂
1:59 Chandler's face 😂😂
"Selfless good deeds don't exist" well...he is not totally wrong here
Well, I dare to differ: Joey is totally right here😌🎭
@@IndomitableT no.
Of course everyone is selfish, at not the same level, and of course everyone can do selfless things.
You have many many many moments in the show to see It.
If you do a favour for one person close to you, you do It without think in what you are gonna get or how are you gonna feel, you just do It.
The Joey's line is not lógic at all thinking in a future that Nobody Knows when you decide instanly to do that favour.
@@fernandogonzalezfarinas9685 And i quote Joey
an example?
@@annroseliju8920 come on!!?
Ross buying the first bike to Phoebe.
Phoebe subrogate pregnancy is not selfish at all . She does It not only because his brother and his girlfriend cant have a baby , also because she realizes how relevant is for them.
Joey is wrong by definition, It doesnt Matter at all if how Phoebe fells after that.
A selfish behaviour implies a time to value what you gonna get doing something.
Phoebe decides It in an second.
There are a lot in the show, because is THE POINT in this show: that time( amount of time) when your Friends are or act like your family.
@@fernandogonzalezfarinas9685 😂😂
calm down i was joking
The amount of wisdom that comes out of Joey from time to time is one of the many reasons this show is so brilliantly written! It’s true. Sometimes the most simple-minded people are ironically the ones that can see the most clearly. Joey was led by love, ambition, and compassion for people. There wasn’t much to him, and that simplicity was precisely the reason so many things were clear to him that weren’t so clear to everybody else.
"I'm gonna beat you, you evil genius!" 😂
Chandler's reaction between 1:53 - 1:58 😂
Chandler is like: *oh God please kill me*
Joey: may I ask for an example?
Phoebe: yeah it's, you know there's, no you may not!
Is it just me, or is this a really good scene?
It’s just you x2
Joey should be this intelligent all the time, but i guess its for a reason he is not, Maybe.
At this point, judging by the look on Monica and Chandler's faces they so didn't give a damn about what the other friends were talking about lol, they just wanted to be ALONE 😂❤️
Yess mondler the best
Chandler's expression when joey said "are you calling u people" 😹😹
Chandler's face at 1:50 is me whenever I finish the whole series of friends and don't know what to do with my life
'No. No. Vomit Tux. No, no. Vomit Tux'. Lmao. Love Chan Chan man
Funny thing is, no matter where you stand on the "it makes you feel good so it's selfish" thing, you can't consciously prove that a good deed is selfless. Because the second you enter a mindset that you want to prove that the deeds are selfless, you do so to prove a point, so there's already an ulterior motive behind it.
(which, btw, brings me to what I believe the answer to the argument is; ulterior motive. Do you do good deeds because you believe it's gonna make you feel good, or do you do them because they are the right thing to do, and the good-feeling is, basically, an unintended side-effect? That basically answers the question, IMO: If you didn't plan to feel good about it, that it just happens, then you were selfless in your decision)
Chandler's "OMG these 2 idiots again" face makes this scene.
"I've first time seen that Phoebe lose an argument with someone. Joey is just too brilliant here."
1:51 (Chandler)When you wake up in the morning to bickering...and you just want peace and quiet
And by that time, I was living in a box...
I DIDNT HAVE KEYS!!!
HILARIOUS
Joey was actually so sharp and smart here!
"Are u calling u people"
Best😂
One good deed that is selfless is letting a person you love, leave you.
"- Yeah, it's... You know, there's... No, you may not."
😂😂😂
Joey is one of those undiscovered genius... in New Year's Eve he made everyone kiss each other is less than 20 seconds...
*PERSUASION LV.100*
A lot of people say "There's no such thing as a selfless good deed." I just don't buy that argument. When someone does something for someone else without wanting anything in return, that's already a selfless good deed (even if it makes the doer happy). If they want something in return, then that's not selfless.
Besides, if there's no such thing as a selfless deed, then there's no such thing as a selfless person. If there's no such thing as a selfless deed and person, then there's no such thing as selflessness. If there's no such thing as selflessness, then there's nothing to compare it to and therefore there's also no such thing as selfishness. In the end, all of these are useless words in the English language because they exist to describe things that doesn't exist.
Phoebe and Joey are the most selfless characters on the show , always putting friends first , love them , and the most selfish characters on the show are...well i don't have to say because everyone knows who they are...
Why
@Kagereneko why r u deeping it, its a show
Joeys good nd so is chandler
@Kagereneko what? Lol it’s Joey, chandler wanted him as a roommate
@Kagereneko lol Chandler insults and mocks Joey MUCH more often than the other way around. And pretty much all the friends mock Chandler, especially Phoebe.
@Kagereneko he didn’t take advantage of chandler. Chandler willingly helped him because he was a good friend
Joey soo right. There is no selfless good deed.
Are you calling me selfish ?"
"Are you calling you people
“I’m going to beat you, you evil genius!”
Bahahahaha…
Joey argument was profound, Chandler was speechless. He wondered where Joey had gotten the wisdom
Ayn Rand to Joey: ‘Hey! How u doin’
Phoebe would hate something and later we use to find out that she was doing the same exact thing.
Joey first and last time being called Genius.
Maybe the last. But not the first. He's been genius and smart on the previous episodes
chandlers epression when joey is arguing with pheobe is what gives me life
Gotta love a Joey-Phoebe debate!
Phoebe was soo pretty!!!😍😍😍😍
"well, may I ask for one example?"
No you may not 🤣
Phoebe: are you calling me selfish?
Joey: are you calling you people?😂😂
In social relationships joey is a total genius!😁
Chandler : 'breathes'
Some people : my god that is HILARIOUS.
As they should
Because he IS hilarious.
Lies again? DBS PBS
Chandler: 'Farts'
Some people : omg that is HILARIOUS
Joey and Phoebe arguments are the best
In the last 90 seconds, chandler made me laugh the most without even speaking 🤣
I think what Ross did for Carol and Susan , was a selfless good deed ♥️
This is ironic among Joey scenes as he is showing his intellectual self.
I like this version of Joey.
@@VioletFlowerz me too its intresting😍😍😂😂
Joey vs phoebe, war of words so entertaining 😅
OOh, look at Chandler's eyes!
Oh the chandlers eye roll😅😅
Joey proved that he is the genius out of all. 😂😂😂
Ross walking Susan for her wedding , may be this was a selfless good deed.
Donating money anonymously a selfless good deed
Pheebs cracked Ross and Joey cracked Pheebs… Evil genius
Evil genius 🤣😂
I'm with Joey on this one.. There is no unselfish good deed.. we do things cus it makes US feel good.. Ultimately.. everything is about ourselves.. And there's nothing wrong with that :)
Well that's probably how most of us are, but I disagree that there are definitely some people out there who do good things just because it's the right thing to do.
Plen122 and makes feel good after. They're thinking, I did the right thing.
What about people who gave their lives to save other live? Like it happend many times in WW2. Dude dies in the process, so he cant feel anything. Sacrifice is unselfish good deed. My happiness isnt important, only life matters.
Then there's the fact that you can feel good while hurting people, or feel good while helping them. Choosing to get your joy from helping people is a good thing to do, even if not technically selfless.
@@jakepullman4914 exactly!
I am with joe with this one, "Selfless good deed" doesn't exist
It's funny to think about, but I totally disagree. Fortunately there are people out there who do good things who weren't in it just for themselves.
@@kbanghart Well, may I ask for one example?
@@balaanna2318 sure, I personally know several people.
this show really opened my eyes
Chandler's face 😂
Jokes aside, there are people in this world who argue like Joey.

Omg i always say what joey says!! I'm just going to start showing this clip to people instead of explaining myself
Joey is right you do good to feel good...you do bad and the bad things come to you that law is so simple i guess we all shld apply in our lives
I like Monica’s hair
This summed up my philosophy class
Chandler's expression from 1:50
Feeling good about doing good deeds does not negate the fact that they're good deeds.
Phoebe's story is utterly tragic here. I didn't realize how much when I was younger but it's so sad...No wonder she hates them, she just wanted comfort and got that instead
Someone called Joey Genius😂😂😂
Ross walking Carol down the lane instead of her father was a selfless good deed
It made him feel good
No bc it gave him the feeling of "look what a good person i am doing such a thing for a woman who cheated on me." It was not at all selfless.
If your reason and motivation for doing the good deed is to make someone else happy then it is selfless. If you feel good as a result then it’s just an added bonus.
Just because it makes you feel good better doesn't make it selfish
How did Joey go from this to "JE TE FLOUPPE FLI!"
Aw it cut before phoebes reaction to the deal on santa clause
1:50 CHANDLERS FACE AHHAHAHAHAHA
this show is amazing
Can someone tell Joey that there ARE selfless good deeds
It's amezing WOW!!!!!
Chandler is my mood
Selfless good deed would be "lending money to friends"
Joey is being smart here
i would argue that Phoebe deciding to carry the triplets may be a selfish good deed but her giving them up was a selfless good deed since she really wanted to take them home at that moment
1:50 chandler's face😂😂😂
Someone has jst called Joey genius 😂👏
For some reason this reminds me of when I saw a fundraiser for hurricane victims and this lady was interviewed b/c she had lost her home and for the first time in her life had to be on the receiving end of charity. She cried b/c she had to receive rather than give like she did all the time. That made me wonder why she'd feel bad about receiving when she was always the giver unless she felt good about herself when she gave to others. It was someone else's turn to feel good about giving but she turned it into her feeling bad about having to be the one receiving.
Damn joey’s deflection of phoebe’s fake offense is flawless. I could learn a thing or two from him on debating
Chandler's expression priceless 🙃
I'll be there for you 💜💜💜💜💜
Phoebe did one by being dressed as Ursula to give Joey a peaceful closure
Everyone did it by tasting Rachel's trifle without hurting her feelings
By dressing as Ursula, Phoebe felt good she didn't lose a friend
Wouldn't tasting Rachel's trifle be a selfish good deed for Joey and Ross?
They did it because they would get faster out of there and have fun with the girls in their own apartment (they would not be able to do it if Rachel had to start over) in addition to not hurt Rachel's feelings.
The first time anyone called Joey a 'Genius' and meant it!!!🤣
When joey makes sense....oh shit
I like philosophical Joey
lol chandlers face phoebe and joeys problems are so stupid...
meanwhile ... HE STOLE MY ESSENCE
Only Joey can win an argument with Phoebe.
Rest in peace Mathew Perry.
Reasons like seeing someone succeed are selfish too because it's something you want.
This technicality is the reason why I think Joey's right.
Joey is right. People help to feel good about themselves. It is the process that is selfless.
