Kloudland is the debut EP of the new project of Ilia Darlin in collaboration with Francesco IX, featuring Daniel Heath (Lana Del - Rey Blue Jeans, Ultraviolence…) as a producer of track Hypertopos. Recorded in an isolated studio in the valley of Ibiza, Kloudland, an independent project, gets 20,000 stream plays in the first week of being released and plays at the most eclectic radio stations of Athens.
A cinematic dark soundscape with heavily layered electronic sounds married with traditional instruments like the santour and ethereal vocals. Heady mixtures of techno, antique, dub and choral elements are patiently weaving a future dark-wave ritualistic sound. Kloudland is an attempt to decipher and embrace chaos, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology and cosmos.
The video for «Kids Of Chaos» (the first single from the EP) gets nominated at the Berlin Music Video Awards amongst James Blake, Alt-j, Bjork and many more, awarded at the Cinema Perpetuum Mobile Festival of Belarus and makes it as an Official Selection at the Athens Short Film Festival. The powerful video stakes the claim that IOTA PHI is not merely a music project, but an all-encompassing art venture.
