I'm really trying to be helpful, not a jerk here. It's tough one to say - I had to look it up when you guys reviewed it, but the pronunciation is huh-JEM-muh-nee
The OED lists no fewer than six accepted (British English) pronunciations for 'hegemony': huh-GEM-uh-nee, huh-JEM-uh-nee, HEG-uh-muh-nee, HEJ-uh-muh-nee, HEE-guh-muh-nee, and HEE-juh-muh-nee. Oh, and three US English ones: huh-JEM-uh-nee, HEJ-uh-moh-nee, and HEE-juh-moh-nee.
Hegemony: "You are really working..." Lol, you can stop there. I love playing games after work to relax but this game was just work. At least my win rate will always be 100% for this one 😁
IMO, she has the right word. I've only played Earth once on BGA and it was quite stressful and painful. Definitely an endorphin rush after my play to ease my pain 😂
This list confuses me a bit. Earth and Marvel Champions as an “advanced” strategy game? Isn’t Ark Nova one of Tom’s favorite games? Seems perfect for this list unless he has it somewhere else and doesn’t want duplicate entries. Oh and these mostly seem to suspiciously be fairly new games. For my money Agricola is the best advanced strategy game btw, provided you’re willing to put in the work to play it many times and learn from your inevitable mistakes.
I dont agree with this list. All games is good but i personaly not put into this category. Forexample turning machine that is a deduction game and i dont see how is have any advanced startegy. Alcemists forexample more fitting this category. Marvel champion and Earth also feels like too light for going to advance stategy category compare forexample Darwin's Journey or hegemony.
I think they are trying to list a variety of games with different types of themes and strategies. And push for newer games if possible. Some of them will be heavier than others. Hegemony and earth sure represent different types of euro games, and marvel champion brings in an ameritrsh experience, which could as well be akrham horror lcg.
Alchemists and Turing Machine are pretty similar in terms of the fact that they're logic puzzles though... Alchemists just has an action management/worker placement element to it, while Turing Machine is pure logic. They both require similar thinking
Love all of these games, but all I want for Christmas is Chris Yi's hat
'Summoners, not mages, they have their own wars' - lol good one! Love both games!
Chris and Wendy, love ya. 😄 Revive and The White Castle are fantastic.
Obsession is the best!

Revive is amazing. Aporta knocked it out the park on this one.
How's the table space? I was initially excited about this, but it looks like it takes up a huge amount of space.
@@Drewkas0it can take a bit of space. But not a big table hog. Mostly the main board and player boards. And then cards go above or below your board
Nice list! My favorite game of these, (and of this year,) is Hegemony.
Endless Winter is so great! I am dying to try Hegemony, too.
I love the consistency- across a dozen board game channels, no one can properly pronounce Hegemony.

He did not pronounce it accurately, actually.

This looks like a great list! Thanks for the video and opportunity to win one!

I can't stop failing the Turing Test 😢
UA-cam should really do something about comments by all these bots. 🤖😉
You know who's great at summoners war player? Sting. No, that's Sumner Wars, nevermind.
Cool! I eagerly await your video for advanced ADVANCED strategy games.
I realise I sound like a total pedant but Camilla keeps confusing dopamine with endorphins
okay
I feel you. I get that way with a few words that people regularly throw around incorrectly 😅
Dopamine is associated with the pleasure-reward system, and endorphins generally mitigate pain or extreme exertion.

Games in their Christmas videos tend to be newer releases because you can more easily find new copies (still in shrink) of them to give as gifts.
This is the first year I agree with the list
What to play next, just too many choices.
It,s so so good ♫♪♫♪
no weather machine?
Turing Machine looks so dreadfully boring.

100% easily could of put a T game in this list
