Thanks! Focus guide square is only centered or you can move it arround? Also if you can test this and confirm: "The guide frame is displayed near any eyes that are detected for the main subject when for instance Face +Tracking is used."
Thanks for the question! I made a video showing how to manipulate the focus guide square, check out the video and hopefully this answers your question! ua-cam.com/video/Tf6H9HJcshY/v-deo.html
Thanks! Sony a7r iv has a magnification factor when your are focusing with the ring, then you see better what you are focusing. Does the R6 has something similar?
Yes, when you are in manual focus, you can hit the magnify button and zoom in by 5% or 10%. I have used it many times for videos and is a very nice feature!!
Not having any issues with C-LOG from the R6 in Davinci Resolve. Has this changed for you at all? I am using version Resolve 17.2 and R6 Firmware 1.4.0. Hesitant to upgrade anything now.
Do you have the studio version? I don't and the free version doesn't support the codec for it. So as long as everything is working for you, then it should be fine to update.
@@RyanTuscher I just have the free version and it's working surprisingly - that's why I was wondering if maybe it had to do with a firmware or software version. Super weird... PS great video - I've never used focus peaking but had been interested in it for a while. Thanks for the thorough walk through on the topic!
Thanks! Peaking is really cool and can be a big help when looking at the small LCD screen. And, I don't know how you have C-Log working with the free davinci resolve, I would love to hear more about that since I've been debating on buying the studio version so I can use C-log3.
@@RyanTuscher Are you working on a Mac or PC? Just found in a forum that it works in the free Mac version of Resolve but not on the free Windows version.
Yeah, I’m using a PC. I wonder if that is because Mac OS has the codec included whereas Windows doesn’t I don’t think. Also the reason for why I can’t even watch my clog footage in windows movie player. Dang Microsoft hahahahh Thanks for the answer!
Yeah, I've been thinking about buying the studio version so I can use the c-log footage and make a video about it, but not sure if I want to spend the money yet. hahaha. One day we'll be able to afford it!
Just what I needed ti know, thank you
Does the focus assist at 4:20 work with lens with no electronic contact?
That's what I've been trying to figure out as well
great. thanks
Hi, does R6 have this funcion that when you are in manual mode you can still tap af-on and it focuses automatically ?

@@RyanTuscher Wow thanks a million. This is the decising factor for me to choose Canon R6 over Nikon Z6ii or Fujifilm X-T4.
Very interesting !!!
