To summarise the generative technique:
1. Make/load a suitable patch (ADSR, harmonics, detune, reverb, A=1.5, delay, filter)
2. Make a one bar loop in a scale of your choice (step length=1/8, press [REC] + [STOP] for jump mode, FUNC for kbd, play 8 notes)
3. Use LFO1 to vary the carrier octave: BPM 1, random, S&H, depth 3, dest SYN:Ratio C
4. Use LFO2 to fade randomness in & out: BPM 1, depth 90, dest SYN:Mix
Thanks for this great description! Liked & subscribed :)
SOOOOOOOOO Helpful!! Thank you for making this, also, your pacing was super easy to follow, thank you again for the video! Looking forward to more Digitone videos from you hopefully!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it helped.
very nice one, hit me in the feels once you turned on the sequence with ratio C modulated!
thank you
Love the simplicity of this method, thanks for sharing.
I was just meditating on this idea the other week, and here you are, showing the way. Thank you for your knowledge!
Excellent and simple tutorial. Keep them coming! Thanks!
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing… more vids like this plz. 🎉

Great! Thank you !
Beautiful video~subbed
More tone videos! :) tons of value here. Thank you for this.
Amazing!! How easy was that!? Followed each step then a few wee tweaks and bingo!! Got it going through the Big Sky and it sounds beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!!
Yeah ❤
Kind of obvious, but had to test with arp :)
This is a silly question but could this also be made on a DT?
I think the closest equivalent on the DT is the approach where you sample the notes of a specific scale into a single sample, and use the Slice mode to split them back out. Then you can randomize which slice gets played in the sequence.
I think Ricky Tinez did a video on that already, but maybe I'll do a demo of it too as I haven't tried it yet.
@@nixienoisei would love to see that. Thanks!
single cycle waveforms should bring you close enough!
Its not content if there are no succulents.
Thanks! I'm glad you like my cactus.
