Climbing Thin Red Line on Liberty Bell (5.12, Grade IV)

- Even though neither of us had previously sent a 5.12 route of any length on gear, Adam and I decided to attempt Thin Red Line during a 3 day stint up at Washington Pass in the North Cascades. I managed to onsight the entire thing except for one move on the second 5.12 pitch (which I reclimbed on lead and sent). Adam fell a few times but managed to get every move on the route clean except for the move I fell on. We were psyched! Sometimes it's worth pushing the grade a bit. We climbed this thing on 6/30/20. Thanks to the FAs and FFA for putting up this rad route!

My man, congrats on the climb! Big fan of your format and you channel.
You two have the best climbing channels!
I hadn't thought about this route in years, but while watching this I was kind of surprised that I could remember every part very clearly. I think it's probably because it's just such a high quality route, but also because of the editing style and POV filming. It's refreshing to see climbing videos that feel more "real" to me (especially this one) and I'm enjoying looking through your other ones as well!
Brother watching climbing videos always makes my hands SWEAT. Love that you aren’t afraid to show mistakes and that you learn from them and solve the problem at hand. Awesome video dude.

"Where is my foot?"
foot slowly creeps into view
"o yeah... there it is"
That summit at sunset is SO COOL, MAN! Thanks for the video.
Amazing action over that rusty piton, that needed some huge balls.
Sorry to say, but it was kind of pleasure to see you bit scared and pushing hard.
Huge congrats to this amazing RP.
So badass dude! I visit the North Cascades frequently and have always admired this peak. Just getting into rock climbing myself, hope to climb it someday.
I can still remember reading about first ascents on the Bell and then the uproar as it became famous and people of course messed it up through piles of garbage etc.
Really enjoyed this video.
Well done.
Man, what a way to send your first 5.12. Awesome!
Loved the comment about having a fun flail! You two are hard core.
Love the alpine cragging in WA pass. Great video and route! Mikey and you all are badass. I really enjoyed The Tiger on M&M wall. Cool variation if you feel up for it as well.
Rad man, sweet looking climb and solid near-onsight!
Haha lets be real. Only reason you got the send was the super cheesy smile I gave you at 11:55
Way to go back to the belay and go for the send. Shows a lot of heart to get it done in style!
I’m so envious of these guys. Something I’ve always wanted to do
Loving your videos dude!
Amazing, Excellent filming No way could i ever do that. After 25 feet i would Freeze. Incredible to watch for people terrified of heights.
spectacular climb gentleman. I have been up that way before, great vid!
That rocks! Congrats!
Great video! Would love to see the full "uncut" footage if you've still got it around.
Great video!
Sweet adventure!!!
I felt that “yes” at 7:40

I was going to hit like on this video, but then I realized it was at 420.
Can you do a gear video please. I’m looking at getting into climbing and would like to know what everything is. Even the crazy El Cap equipment. Thanks man, love your videos.
whats your hauling system like on shorter walls like this?
