- Size Comparison: Extinct Primates | Mesozoic Fauna Animals - the video presents extinct primates including monkeys, gorillas, lemurs, baboons, and others. Some of the animals actually went extinct in recent time due to human activities in their habitat. Here you can come across species such as Gigantopithecus Blaki, Chororapithecus, Indopithecus, Vietnamese Orangutan, Baboons, Gorillas, and many others.

The size of the animals is average (according to multiple sources) and their appearance is an artistic representation. Some species such as Paradolichopithecus Arvenensis and Paranthropus Boisei may not correspond to reality due to a lack of sufficient amount of fossil remains revealing their appearance.

Actually,Gigantopithacus was probably most likely reddish brown, like the orangutan.
Out of these, the Dinopithecus would have been the most dangerous to encounter . Modern baboons are usually around 80lbs with some big alpha males reaching 100 lbs and they actively hunt small antelope and birds. Dinopithecus could reach 200lbs and I'm sure it may have occasionally attacked and preyed on our ancestors.
very extraordinary video my friend I really like it. I can't wait for the size comparison of spinosaurids, gorgonopsids and extinct birds part 2
Thank you, I am glad you like it☺️
@@gvart FINALLY! IT'S READY! 😁 🥳 THANKS 😊
You are welcome ☺️
maybe a little advice, you can cut the final duration of the video, I think the final duration of the video is a bit too long, the rest is fine, keep up the good work my friend
@rezafirmansyah8705 Got it, thanks. I will have this in mind. 😉

Thank you for the good words 😊
That's cool!
i think you missed Protopithecus Cartelles coimbrafilhoi and Cercopithecoides Caipora bambuiorum
The Gigantopithecus is actually smaller than I thought.
A pterosaur size comparison is an interesting idea, it doesn’t have to be done but I would like it if it was
Great videos, keep it up
Thank you for the good words☺️ A Pterosaurs Size Comparison video is in my to do list, so soon or later it will pop up on my channel😉
This is the best piece of art and science I’ve ever seen
Thank you, I appreciate it. I am happy you like it☺️
You forgot lemurs, tarsiers and slow loris which are also primates but above all nice video.
Thank you ☺️ Probably there will be second part of the video or if not these animals will show up on my channel soon or later in a random animals size comparison video☺️
@@gvart It would be cool if you includes other primates that belongs to the homo genus, like neanderthals or homo erectus for example, also, its interisting to think that we (homo sapiens) are some of the largest primates to ever live and the third or second largest primate alive today, im not sure if orangutans are larger than humans on average, but gorillas are (im only considering individuals with healthy weight, and that the global average height for men is about 175 cm (5 feet 9 inches), and for women, it's around 162 cm (5 feet 4 inches), so we are not that heavy on average (again, considering ideal weight, not overweight individuals).
@PearlBlack666 Actually I have in my plans video like the one you are describing. I am not sure when it will be uploaded on my channel, but it will happen 😊
@@PearlBlack666 it’s confirmed that Orangutans are actually the 3rd most Largest primate on earth today. Males at their Biggest weigh about 300 pounds. So yea there MUCH bigger then humans on average.
